Isn’t that the way it should be. A show of force is sometimes all that is needed to stop the bully.

Here in Washington state at the bar and grill I work at we have had twelve cars with armed citizens guarding it during some of the bad rioting. The police came by and told us to be safe but stand your ground.

It sounds like the police appreciated your effort?

I can see it going either way. Some chiefs don’t want (what they see as) vigilantes. But it seeks like a lot of departments are stretched very thin right now and would appreciate the effort. If you’re protecting your own place, that’s one less area they need to cover.
