“Toxic masculinity”
Excellent toys… we need to bring them back
Back in the day the manufacturer strived to make a realistic toy, and today it may not be a good idea.
And they wonder why we like firearms
.
Back in the day… we could play ‘Cops and Robbers’ and ‘Cowboys and Indians’ and ‘Allies and Axis’
They have realistic looking toys today… airsoft… and some BB and pellet guns…
But today, it is frowned on to even suggest games like I just listed…
(Moderators will delete comment for mentioning those games in 4…3…2…)
And they wonder why today’s kids are wussies who need safe spaces.
You forgot the " gee your hair smells terrific" game, I’m the guy quiz & here’s the deal liars poker"
I had to play with sticks and mud ball grenades’.
We weren’t allowed to play with sticks, the neighbor lost an eye playing with sticks when he was kid. But we had a chemistry kit that included black powder on the project list.
An Assault Stick…
Kinda funny actually, we played with bb/pellet guns. 2 pump max 10 count lead, 3 pump max 20 count lead, or whatever (body shots only)
But we’d of got our butts handed to us for playing with sticks cuz someone could loose an eye.
I remember those days… BB guns and 2 crank limits… all before paint balls… and the early paint ball prices would have meant staying with BB guns… if not getting too old for that.
and… sticks would get you in trouble and scissors also.
You had sticks?? We had “Switches”!
Most did… Many of us had what we call ‘Switch Bushes’… Forsythia bushes…
Willow…
Sticks or switches, willows or forsythia…or really anything from the garden that Grandpa could get his hands on quickly to give my brother and I that “stinging” lesson we so “sorely” deserved🤣
We had boys that were trained to be men, now we have men that wear dresses
And…they need their own bathroom
Switch
noun
a slender, flexible shoot cut from a tree
and…grandpa’s leather belt, grandma’s lamp cord.
