Grew up in the 50âs. Parents were fresh out of WWII and ideas were, how to say it, much less companionate. My friend pulled in front of a car on his bike, killed. My dad took me aside and gave me the following: nature does not tolerate the stupid or foolish. She will find a way to remove them from the gene pool. Thatâs what happened to your friend. Donât join him. We watched a lot of Mutual of Omaha nature series. When lions or hyenas picked off the stragglers heâd remind me that those who survive stay smart; the foolish, heâd say watch, itâs adios. What am I saying? He taught me that all actions have consequences. Sometimes they are tragic, but itâs not up to society to make the world safe for you, thatâs your responsibility. Joining this current story, if we can restrict or outlaw BB guns or airsoft guns, evolution dictates that our ârealâ guns can and will be the next victim. Sorry, I cannot give an inch on this. I grew up in a world where a cop could say âstop or Iâll shoot!â And mean it. Go back to those days where stupidity could face immediate and irreversible consequences and this topic would not even being debated now. Some may say what about mistakes by either side? My dad always said, a smart person never finds themselves in that position. And go back to those days, and itâs truly amazing that I can say this would never come up for discussion. Others will say, weâve come a long way since then. We have, our crime had gone up exponentially and stupidity has replaced logic to the point I no longer recognize this country.
While I agree with most of what you said, I donât think it is the toy that will get them killed.
This is what will get them killed. If you are âstoopidâ enough to rob someone with a BB gun then you get what you deserve. Knowing that they are âsh!t stoopidâ should be a problem for them or their parents to figure out before that happens. People have to take responsibility for their actions.
I think you can make an EASY CASE that Crimâs in general are STOOPID! In their tiny little minds Robbing and Rapinâ folkâs is a STOOPID actâergo, using a TOY to THREATEN folkâs into handing over their money or Life in this current Climate (of a lot of Armed folkâs out there) is a Suicidal act and the Karmic Wheel spins the minute they attempt the crime.
All I meant (on the first point is Manufactures omitting those Red/Orange tips (yes, that can be painted over/Removed) is in itself a criminal act. Making a âReplicaâ firearm and not doing everything you can to make it look the toy it is (while saving a few Pennieâs) is foolish and opens them up to Prosecution doesnât it Doug?
If you place the âSafety Tipâ on there then the Crim REMOVES IT! Itâs on THEM. Not having it there (in this Sue happy World makes them stoopid) Thatâs all I meant.

I will be honest I never shot an Air Soft/Paintball gun. I do know folkâs love them to look âRealisticâ (I wouldnât want to be caught dead (bad choice of verbiage) with a 'Muddy Gyrl AR Paint scheme! myself.
Personally, I think we need to remove all the warning labels and safety devices installed on everything over the last 50 years. Darwin would begin subtracting from the population and the problem with world hunger would be solved.
When I say âall warning labels and safety devicesâ I mean ALL OF THEM.
Remove the antilock braking systems, collision avoidance, seat belt warning buzzers, etc, out of the vehicles we drive every day. Put control of those vehicles back into the responsibility of the drivers.
Take the âWarning - Contents Hotâ off the top of the McDonalds Coffee cups. ITâS COFFEE!!! ITâS HOT!!!
Take the âWarning - Shock Hazardâ stickers off the circuit breaker panels in the houses we live in. If you arenât a qualified electrician - DONTâ FâING TOUCH IT!!
All these warning labels and safety devices have made us STUPID!
