I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry!
I blame a Waffle and Diet Coke deficiency!
Mea Culpa!
I’d fall on my own sword if I owned one.
I blame the combo of Klamidia and TT-Quick (Tampon Tim for those not following @ home)
I just thought this was seriously phunny, and that same sobering worry began for me
(21) years ago. ‘NO PANZER FOR YOU!’ See I just can’t help myself!
Used to have a C-150 in my 20’s. Now in my 70’d afraid I’ll never get my P-51. I appreciate the panzer idea, but my dream is to put 6–50 cals to bare on one at 250 knots. Oh to hear that Rolls Royce Merlin and 6-50 cal. Machine guns roaring at the same time. That’s my idea of a good time and my idea of gun control.
That was great. Tanks! (couldn’t resist!)
I don’t do Cable though but that was cool.
Looking forward to seeing a couple of AC-130’s
in my skies over Albuquerque real soon.
Kirtland AFB will have (6) by Jan. 2025.
Don’t know where the F-15’s went though (Called themselves
the ‘Flying Taco’s’---- maybe somebody ate them… )
Yeah, I saw your other post on that. Very cool. Around here we get lots of Coast Guard C-130’s, but none that are armed to the teeth like that! Sometimes the KC-135’s out of MacDill make it this far north. They seem to like to do these huge, slow low loops of the area. Basically, it’s like watching history flying. They’re as old as the B-52’s.
I don’t have cable either, but I get that TV show on one of the free broadcast channels. Quest, I think.
Some cool Dude had a P=51 Mustang out here a couple of years
back. Polished Aluminum, detailed perfectly like in WW2.
Black and Yellow checkerboard around the cowling–stunning!
He’d fly every Saturday over the Vietnam Memorial in Angel Fire (NM)
for the Vet’s and visitor’s. It was beautiful right up till the time the ‘City Council’
Snowflakes deemed it ‘DANGEROUS’
(People love to suck all the fun outta life)
He also had an old restored C-47 (OD Green) he threatened (nicely) he
was going to turn her into a replica of 'Puff the Magic Dragon; he use to fly
in 'the 'Nam ! Twisted all their panties into a knot! Classic!
P-51 is, I think, one of the most beautiful and amazing planes ever built. The giant Merlin engine sounds like a V12 dragster at idle and smooths out into an incredible scream at full RPM.
Her’s a cool video, from startup to flyover.
And yeah, too bad there’s always someone to suck away the joy. Let the guy fly. He’s not hurting anyone, and he’s honoring the vets.
