**Just my observation over the last 30 years, but it has nothing to do with “safety” “doing the right thing” or “following law” and all to do with keeping track of you the law abiding gun owners. The left has deliberately weakened our justice system over those last 30 years. When comrade Clinton was prez in the 90’s the democrats wanted to push more draconian gun laws then but the “political” climate wasn’t friendly…please also remember the slaughter of almost 86 AMERICAN men, women and children at Waco under Clinton’s regime…what the “press” omitted was that the whole nightmare was predicated on the “fact” that they had hundreds of guns and thousands of rounds of ammo. **
Our justice system has been incrementally reduced to a joke…on purpose. Convicted murderers in California are now on “house arrest”…where in any intelligent or Constitutional paragraph is that okay? In democrat controlled states why are “judges” questioning whether or not to keep violent offenders and murderers in jail before court? No one with two brain cells should even present that option!
**There is a war on gun owners for a reason and it will only get worse. We the People are a threat to those who’s goal is total control over our very existence. But again there is no “war” being waged against violent criminals, nor are criminals bothering with registering their stolen guns…I know right! **
**This is not a coincidence. My fear is that too many citizen gun owners with few exceptions, are not digging into this joke called “criminal” law and the increasingly liberal “judges”. **

Does anyone out there understand what these enemies of our Republic mean by “re-education camps”? Look at the multitude of nations all over the world that were once free and prosperous nations but are now poor and oppressed and unable to defend themselves.

Nope There isn’t, here’s why, it’s used as a tool, probably the main tool, in the tool box of gun control advocates. The more times they can say “A gun was used…” the more they can vilify firearms. Too me, this isn’t a coincidence, it’s a very well thought out and implemented tactic.
Anecdote:
I work with guys that, in the 60’s, built and commissioned Nuclear power plants. They would show up to work and be met by angry crowds throwing rocks at their cars, chaining themselves to the gates etc. But for the most part the plants were built and brought on line. In the 70’s the laws started changing, permitting became difficult and nearly impossible. That’s when the guys from the industry noticed, the head of the NRC, the people writing the new laws were the same people that were chained to the gates a few years back. They couldn’t stop the plants from the outside so they figured out how to wreck the industry from the inside. Be warned, they are using the same tactics in the 2A realm.
I’m painfully aware of the leftist’s multiple tactics. An organization “Jews For The Preservation of FIrearms Ownership” has been around for over 30 years. Some of these guys lost family members in the Holocaust. One of the “details” of this massive slaughter was registration of firearms of all Jews. They also have a genocide chart (suprisingly still online) chronically the millions of deaths per 9 nations first implementing “gun control”…

I’ve probably been pulled over 5 times since I’ve had my cc and never been asked if armed, I don’t think they care.
They might want to know, but if you don’t give them a reason to talk about it, why would it come up?
If you’re in TN and have a permit, I think they know. If you’re in TN and don’t have a permit, they still kind of have to assume you might be legally armed. And no matter where you are, it’s probably safer for a cop to assume that any contact may be legally or illegally armed.
If law enforcement perceives a reason to care, I bet you’ll hear about it

With the escalating attacks on police that will probably change. CCW holders aren’t the problem…the deliberate joke of a “justice” system is. When you get a CCW your information is registered not just with your local sheriff’s office, but in our state the CBI…Colorado Bureau of Investigation…and the officer can check everything in his car just from your driver’s license and probably your license plate.
I’ve had a student pulled over for speeding and asked if he have a firearm in the car. At the time he didn’t…the only thing the officer said was “Why not?” It’s pretty much expected in this part of Colorado.
In Utah a lot of times they say “Thank You”.
