I have recently started a pocket pistol collection. Summer is here and I wanted to try something new. I purchased 3 Ruger pocket pistols, all Ruger LCP 380 Max’s different variants. On hot days when you wear cargo shorts with large front pockets you don’t even know you have it. I have been running them in the pocket holsters that come in the box. I believe I will be ordering a kydex pocket holster though. The Ruger Magpul edition you can actually carry appendix in an IWB kydex holster. If anyone else likes pocket carry let me know what type of experience you’ve had and whether you like them or not.

I wish that’s CA compliant. Until then, the regular LCP Max will do.
I previously pocket carried a Ruger LCRx and it was doable with the right pair of pants.
When I first handled a LCP Max, I thought it was a toy compared to the compact Shield I was carrying at the time. The LCP is definitely going to be added to my permit on next renewal.

I took it to the range 2 days after I purchased it and had a lot of fun with it. It shot well, the gun came with 2 magazines, a 13 round extended and a 10 round flat base. The frame is made by Magpul and has a really good grip. With the extended grip its like holding a full size. The gun was accurate. It replaced my original LCP max which I really liked. So there’s my review.

A lot of years with a Sig P938 with a leather Galco pocket holster. Comfortable in either front or rear pocket. It’s not broke, no reason to try to fix it …

I have several perfect pocket carry holsters that perfectly come right out of the pocket with my pocket EDC. I made my own pocket carry holster using a soft vinyl eye glass holder cutting it to fit and T-Rex tape. It stays in my pocket where it belongs, when drawing my EDC.. Field tested 2 years and thousands of miles

I’ve pocket carried a Centennial for years and a Detective Special before that. The only glitch I find is drawing from a seated position. Cargo thigh pockets provide a work around for that, however if not seated, drawing can be lightning fast with the right gun in the right pocket holster.
Walking to your car with your hand in your pocket looks perfectly normal.
My current pocket holster is a Bianchi 152 and suits me perfectly.

I have a Ruger lcp in 380 and a colt police positive in 38 S&W customized
both work great with a vinish deep carry elastic belt
still don’t like the appendix carry set up
cant imagine getting blasted in the family jewels

Ruger LCR .38Spcl +p. I’ve considered this one as a pocket carry. The problem I have is I don’t have a lot of experience with it. To be honest It Sucks to shoot, 10-15 rounds and it’s back in the bag. The positive, 38Spcl +p pocket carry should have plenty of punch…

I did have it about 5 years ago and sold it along with my LCP 2. I never carried them much. I believe you can get this one for about 125-150 in the gun stores but probably used. Not a bad price for a new one. I paid $199 for my LCP max with the stainless slide and manual safety.

With the flat base, I throw it in my pocket and with the extended mag I can appendix carry it.

I pocket carry this SW642 everywhere, all the time. If I’m in pants with deep pockets I use the DeSantis holster. It stays in the pocket well, but the revolver slips out easily, so it’s only good for deep pockets where it doesn’t slide back when I sit.
For shallow pockets (basically, dressier pants for work) I use the Don Hume leather holster. It grips the gun a little better. It’s a little slower in the draw, but there’s no risk of my gun sliding out of my pocket when sitting. I had that happen with the Desantis a couple times before I found the Don Hune. Also, the Altamont grips on the gun are chosen to give grippy rubber for better shooting control and comfort, and also some grip in the pocket, but the little wood bit allows you to get your hand past the grip in your pocket to start a draw. I tried the original SW grips, a few different wood ones, and settled on these after a few years of fussing around.
