Hello my fellow family members. I know I will hear it from a lot of you guys on this purchase. You all know I am a Smith & Wesson guy, but I walked into Academy sports yesterday and I saw this and could not resist. This firearm was on sale for $199. I could not pass up this deal. A Ruger LCP max 380 auto pocket rocket. $220 out the door. This included tax and background check. It’s a quality pistol.

Mine has the thumb safety and only came with one mag but it included the pinky extension. I wonder if its more expensive because it’s the non-safety version.

Let me tell you, it’s a sharp looking gun and it feels good in my hand because I have small hands my pinky with the flat base mag does not hang too much.

It has the same feel as the Max-9 which is part of my EDC rotation.
I never shot a 380 before and main reason for buying it was for the wife. There’s a potential His & Hers type of purchase if she likes it and I end up adding it to my CCW permit.
One of the first things I did was look for a Hickok45 review. Well, turns out he has the original LCP, the LCP II, and now the Max.

Uniquely low price. If it’s your first Ruger pistol or not have this brand within last 10 years, please let us know how you like it post range time. I got its discreet little brother.
Word to the most wisest; That chamber is so very dark.
Their accessories shop is expansive. Know you like “tried and true” S&W, but my only other current pistol is Glock brand, thus I find it nice to have a different brand. For me, I like the Ruger quality, and didn’t “break my bank”.

Will do @Burdo. I will let you know soon once I test it at the range, In the past I have owned Ruger pistols and had a Ruger revolver also. I have owned the LCP and LCP 2 in 380 Auto and enjoyed them.
