Honestly, I already have the P365XL with an upgraded grip module and a 3.7" barrel. To me the 3.1" barrel has to much recoil compared to the 3.7" so, Im kinda there now.

The Staccato is an upgraded for sure, it also has a 4.4", and 5.0" barrels with a flared magwell, and The trigger pull is set at approximately 2.5 to 2.75 pounds, and the gun has a slide that is made from stainless steel.

Anybody knew anything about GatorZ eyewear? For my birthday I ordered some Magnum ballistic lenses.

I think the CZ Shadow 2 doesn’t have a drop safety. That would be a no go for me. Does anyone know if the Staccatos are drop safe?

Joined the “tactical” shotgun club thanks to an offer I couldn’t refuse. Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. Not as nice as their 1301s but likely more shotgun than I’ll ever need. Now I’m all set equipment wise if any 3 gun competitions come to town.

Ya’ made me drool on the keyboard!

I’m always “all set” till a new beauty catches my eye!

They also make these in a black and light grey Tiger Stripe color scheme which is even more eye catching.

Aside from eventually wanting to do some 3 gun competitions a semi auto self defense shotgun wasn’t all that high on my want list. But I saw this offered in a raffle and instantly thought it was well worth $15 (plus the FFL transfer fee) for a chance to own:)

Of course now I have to spend several hundred more on shells to feed it, a light, sling, shell cards and will likely eventually want a Holosun circle dot sight or something similar. So it is turning out to be an expensive piece of good luck!

Holy $#!+ Batman. I hope that thing weighs a lot. I can’t imagine what that thing does after the trigger is pulled. Videos???

Actually not as bad as you would think or I did think. It weighs in at about 6.5 lbs. The recoil is comparable to my 4 inch .357 revolver. Its loud as hell though, even with muffs on. Ill try to get a video sometime.

Staccato is a continuation of 1911 Series 70, meaning there is no firing pin block safety. However the weight of firing pin and firing pin spring has been setup to prevent firing pin striking the primer without pulling the trigger.

To be honest, most of high end 1911/2011 pistols do not use firing pin block mechanism. This way the action parts don’t have additional tension having lighter / crisper trigger press.
Safety / drop safety is still intact due to better parts design and production.
That’s why we pay more for a better tools

So even there is no firing pin block - Staccatos are fully drop safe.

Thanks for that info. I wonder how the CZ Shadow 2 differs from the higher end 1911/2011? They also left the firing pin block out for a crisper trigger pull but I’m pretty sure that was the gun being used by the competition shooter who missed reholstering his pistol and it dropped on the hard shooting pad instead. The pistol discharged and killed the RO standing near him.

A pretty freak accident/negligent handling but still makes me want to be sure my self defense pistol isn’t gonna go off if it gets dropped on a hard surface during a scuffle.

I don’t know that story about CZ.
But that is what actually may happen without firing pin block.

Everything is about proper design, good calculation and experience.

Staccato doesn’t have problem with drop safety because of good balance between spring and pin.

CZ Shadow is not for defence, it’s too light for this, perfectly adjusted for competition.

Staccato gets its own line for competition as well and this one also is not good for everyday / defensive use.

Whenever you are thinking about Staccato C2 or P, you are 100% safe to carry them.

Hey guys, I sold an Armalite AR10 A2, old school with M14 style mags. Long story short never should have. Does anybody have a lead on one? Bought a “new style” AR in .308. complete with plastic mags. Hate it. Help please.

I know this isn’t in spirit of this thread but, if it works out I’ll post a pic.
