From my bucket list. Been wanting the RIGHT 9.3x62 classic gun for a long time and here it is. In factory box with original paperwork including the sub-MOA factory test target !!!
Steyr Mannlicher Luxus in 9.3x 62
This full stock beauty came with a mounted 3-9 Leupold 3HD with a mil-dot reticule on factory QD mounts. Totally wrong scope for this gun. That’s coming off and will be replaced with something lower powered and classic, probably a Leupold VX-3 in 1.75-6 or 2.5-8. I have a few options in the old scope box.
I’m moving this scope to my Remington 700 Stainless 7mm-08 which is a sub .5 MOA shooter and that will make it a nice open range rifle, or maybe my Kimber Hunter 6.5 Creed
Sorry about the crappy pics. They do the gun no justice. The wood actually has nice figure and you can get lost in the deep blue of the metal. Gun needs a cleaning (actually a dusting from sitting in a gun rack) and I won’t be test firing this weekend because ammo, reloading components and dies, which were all part of the deal , shipped separately and are not here yet.
Re-packing my garage for the upcoming move so everything is everywhere n a huge mess…
Original advertisement for the gun from 1991. Mine is the M model at the bottom with the full stock.
