Lawsuit against FDLE

On June 14th I purchased a firearm at Nexus Shooting in Davie Florida after paying for it I paid the $5.00 for the background check I have been on a decision pending since, it’s now July 10th and no change. Since 2015 I have had over 19 firearm background checks with no problem I also have a CCWP. I have called them 4 time and e-mailed all I get is the same answer they don’t know how long I have to wait. In a search on the internet I found out about a lawsuit by Florida Carry so I joined up several days ago let’s see how all of this is going to end.

Hi Carlos,

Are you a Florida resident and is your CCWP from Florida? If the answer is yes to both questions, then something really seems wrong. An internet search says Broward County requires a 5 day waiting period in addition to the Federal 3 day for a total of 8 days, but you are past that.

Good luck working with Florida Carry :+1:

I went to Nexus and canceled the sale I had till Monday
But I have no idea how long this pending decision is going to take. It’s frustrating

Order it online and have it shipped to a friendlier FFL, I would talk to the FFL to verify their background check policies before picking them. There is lots of supply out there, but here’s one with free shipping, $367.49
