Though I’ve sworn off this site, I to tell you this.

I was in Wally World the other day picking a few things. As I was walking to pickup bread I just happened to turn around. Standing about a foot behind me was Mexican/Peruvian looking guy. He was bent over looking at where my EDC was printing. I’m tall, 6’4” and this midget barely was barely taller than my waist. I don’t know he was there. I’m 65 with a bad ankle and would never have been able to catch him. I Was in the middle of Wally World and I didn’t think they would go after a gun under my shirt. I was also not being aware of my surroundings. I felt relatively safe there from this type of thing. I’m upgrading my holster now. If my EDC wouldn’t have been under my shirt, he would have grabbed it and had been gone.

I’m going back to never coming to this board again. I only wanted to warn friends to be on the lookout. I am gone again.

We ALL need to tune up our Situational Awareness (at least one notch)
My new job is at the Airport and crawling with all flavors of Law Enforcement!
We even have Border Patrol patrolling the miles of perimeter fence now.
Not a good place to be unarmed but that is the price for now I am paying to get a
position paying over $25.00 an hour (so unfortunately I will pay it).
In my neck of the woods we see them crawling all over the outside perimeter
looking for gaps. (maybe thinking of getting up in the landing gear to be taken away from this God forsaken hell hole?) It isn’t good here anymore. UNARMED sucks!
Excellent lock box in my truck so that’s a comfort but the piece is still IN THE DAMN TRUCK!

I was once almost a victim of pickpockets so more aware than most. In large crowds, there’s no accidental bump—check your wallet. It’s one thing Hollywood gets correctly.

Thanks for the heads-up, William. Like others, I do wish you’d reconsider your participation here. There are many folks here, myself included, who think this place is better with you than without you, even when we disagree. The decision is yours of course, but just think about it.

My ex didn’t have either.
Nowadays, I’m not sure if I’d go for money or the firearm. Okay, fine, it would be the firearm :wink:

FYI for those interested. I’ve switched over to a leather cross draw holster with a snap strap. I think it’s New Breed. I have had awhile it’s my new EDC carry holster.
