yes, Misinformation is not real information, but in todays world with so much information what is real?
Not a particularly good idea. That is precisely how 10 carloads of ATF agents in full SWAT-style gear with a search (not arrest) warrant killed Brian Malinowski in Little Rock at 6:03 a.m. when they taped over his front door camera, then banged on his door, waited 30 seconds, and broke through the door. Brian had retrieved his handgun on the noise and was kneeling in his living room. When he saw the door breech he opened fire, and multiple ATF agents immediately returned fire with rifles.
Does that qualify as a rubout?
This should not be a legal move, certainly if I was awakened by pounding on my door and found my camera had been blacked out, I would’ve armed up as well!
Anyone rational person would.
I’d likely dialed 911 as well, though that story sounds like all the operator would’ve heard was gunfire.
That was the weaponized ATF under the Bidung administration. Taping over his camera amounts to illegal seizure (Of the camera’s functionality) in my opinion, but I am not a lawyer.
The fact that someone would contemplate this action should tell you that this individual knows nothing about self defense. If you’re facing a weapon the last recommend action is to draw your own weapon. You should be seeking cover or distance from the threat first.
Following advice from social media, including my advice, can get you killed. Please take some classes from certified instructors on defensive scenarios.
Welcome.
I’m not sure what to believe. Even if it’s an elected official speaking, I worry when rumors spread, especially if biased, if false, or if believed – it can do more harm than good. Instilling undue fear.
Thank you, throught out my life, I’ve been trained be aware of my surroundings, while attempting avoid situwaitions wherein would have to defend myself, to extend that however, if I was placed in a situation where I had to defend myself, the idea was to use whatever means I had to disable the asslant.. there is only one time within my life, I defended myself, and only a couple of times, where I was warry of the enviroment or a person.. - once I brought to a club –( im not a person who does that generally) someone in the area cause the hair to stand up on the back of my neck, I simply choose to leave.. another time, I didn’t have a firearm, but had with my me a can of mace, I simply had my hand on it an available.. –
it was a curious question, brought forward on socal media, in part based upon all of what is going on..
never said, we were not responsibly armed, the question is brought forward from a socal media post, from someone who I’m connected to, who said that if they were pulled at gun point, they felt that was considered a lethal threat.. - the last time I was pulled over, was maybe 15 years ago, and it was for a speeding ticket, I didn’t slow down enouph off of an off ramp. just after a speed drop. - I accpeted the citation and paid the ticket, and moved on.
In my opinion a police officer doing their job is not a lethal threat. It doesn’t matter if they are a lethal threat or not. What matters is they are an immigrant lethal threat. That would depend on the situation and can not be determined in a hypothetical situation.
I’m not sure why my citizenship would be questioned
(Heavy sigh) Another one found us…
what does that mean? another what?
It’s as if you you are assuming things about me, without knowing anything about me, any more than I know about you.
as was said, earlier Law enforcement shouldn’t be approcing a stopped vehicle with a weapon drawn unless they knew or believed the indavidual(s) to be a threat.
Oh, they know.
I’ve read of green card holders who complained they were deported for no reason. An immigration lawyer no less clarified these same green card holders had convictions on their record. They’re not innocent as they portrayed themselves to be.
OK I’ll play.
IF, while sitting 3rd car at a red light, 5 people in masks and armor ran up to my car pointing guns at me I would comply, we could discuss use of lethal force in self defense later. Should they be kidnappers I would “think” keeping my EDC concealed might be helpful later on.
Would it be legal? Depends on IF they are real cops and also depends on how many would testify in court that they identified themselves.
If anyone in law enforcement, ICE or otherwise, already has their gun(s) drawn, I believe the word we’re looking for here is “de-escalation”. Starting with some bias that the LEO is the bad guy or a “lethal threat” is how innocent people get killed, IMHO.
I’ve talked my way out of several bar fights. I’m pretty sure I can give an LEO reasons to lower the temperature and reholster their gun. But I have respect for all LEOs and don’t view them as “the bad guy” by default.
In your opening monologues, you sound like every other troll that comes in here to harass us. And we have plenty. I still don’t know anything about you or your intentions. Excuse us if we read it wrong. ![]()
That still remains to be seen.
