@Alan158 Actually a good practice, meant it as a compliment, not obsessive compulsive behavior to be clear. My point is I really don’t count all my boxes, I have some guns that I can say it’s new, I’ve only owned it and put 400 rounds through. I have one that I have taken to the range and I have no idea how many rounds, if I had to venture a guess in excess of 5,000 or more. It works, is accurate, and I do expect it to break at some point. It gets cleaned after each range day. Do I carry it? No. Just like one might have an older vehicle they love, it’s not my everyday driver. How many ads on used firearms have you seen that say I only put a couple of boxes through for an obviously older firearm? I agree that round count is important without a doubt. As for my car? I don’t have to count up my miles after every drive. I do know it needs an oil change every 10,000 miles, but I change it every 5,000 or if the oil indicator says “hey stupid, you need an oil change!” (that has happened with less than 5,000 miles.) Firearms have a finite life, you do not want one that can fail after a certain time. Think I may start logging my range days.
If IT SHAKES AND YOU CAN HEAR IT CLANKING YOU MAY WANT TO PASS KAZ TO MANY ROUNDS I LOVE A TIGHT TOOL BROTHER. AND I SPRAY MY TOOLS WITH D.30. That’s good stuff sometimes I spray my hair KAZ it’s long and it helps it not to fly around so much grate stuff . I spray every thing with it even by spurs and boots . ![]()

Funny, but I work in the auto industry. Ive heard people ask, “Can I have the light shut off telling me I need an oil change?” “It bothers me seeing it all the time.” When was the last time you had an oil change? “I can’t remeber, the light has been on for two years at least!” WTF ![]()

I do have to admit, I dont clean after every range day. But, I wont let any of my guns go over 250-500 rounds before cleaning them.
Now you know when to change the oil… I mean magazine… ![]()
Now thats a counter!! Kinda cool. ![]()
