Hogue Grips

Anyone have experience with Hogue grips? They look promising but a pain to get on. I could see them making my Shield 1.0 a better grip or my 43X.

Shield is way too thin for me. 43x just needs a bit more grip, I’ve considered the rubber grip tape. The stock grip works fine for edc though. Putting a hogue grip on a 43x may make it closer to the g19 In dimensions which kinda ruins the point.

I have tried one in the past but i did not like the ‘spongy’ feel so i went with Talon Grips(Pro). But, for my range toys, Handleit Grips(Edge and Extreme)

HTH.

I have the hogue grip on my shield. It adds a little more width to the grip without any discomfort from rubbing. Overall I’m content with it.

I agree with that. I have Vet-wrap on my Sub2K and just the standard grips on my 92A1.

Have a set on my P239 and Ruger LC9P. Adds better grip to both, but especially the Ruger which is way too narrow without for a comfortable grip.

Have these on both of my EDC carry guns. Love them, and yes they are a bit difficult to get on. Several YouTube’s show how to get them on. For the price they’re very good without adding extra bulk.

No it doesn’t. I have a shield 45 as well. Great gun but the 2.0 texture is too aggressive for me for carry. Great for shooting though.

I usually use Talon tape, but I like the Hogue grips to enlarge a small firearm grip. Specifically, I use the Hogue grips on my Taurus G2C and S&W Bodyguard 2.0.

If you go the Hogue route, you can use a couple drops of hand or dish soap to cut the friction and make the Hogue grip easier to slip on.
