Here is what’s happening… Think back to Jan 6th attempted coup, imagine how that would have unfolded differently if the DC police were under direct presidential control, along with 20,000 ICE agents that are drinking the koolaid. It would have been a little different, ya think? That is what is happening. Trump is trying to secure himself or his successor regardless of the outcome of the 2028 election.

You mean the one where armed police escorted unarmed citizens around the Capitol until there was a critical mass of crowd, in which FBI sponsered agitators riled up the crowd until it became unruly enough that the cops brought out the tear gas to make it chaotic enough that a stampede caused the death of a woman? The one where a cop shot an unarmed woman? Yes, I do remember all the video coverage.
First time a coup was ever attempted by crowding a building, with none of the insurrectionists bringing weapons. Brilliant.

When I was in the Army and MartĂn King marched we would have our bayonet’s and ammo in our rifles. WE practiced on the parade field how to handle crowds.

It is well documented that DC has been seriously under-reporting crime statistics for years. The FBI, in 2022, noticed that the assault and murder numbers did not in anyway match numbers reported by local hospitals and the local medical examiners. Your claim that DC isn’t even in the top 30 is probably false.
But, even if it isn’t false, how much violent crime should the federal government tolerate in our nation’s capital before doing something? Another “Martha, do you hear yourself?” moment.
