When I enlisted it was because I wanted to protect my country. Obviously I messed up because I went Navy, I should have gone with the Coast Guard. But end of the day in 1994 I was not thinking I may die on a foreign shore to increase some Billionaires portfolio by .00000001%. I can guarantee if you were to ask the majority of those who enlisted in the military why they joined, it was because they had thoughts in their head that they would defend the homeland after the homeland was attacked first. Not because their elected leader wanted to have a peeing match with some other elected leader.
Foreign and Domestic is the Military Duty.

Has anyone thought of the possibility of a terrorist attack on our 250th birthday.
To be honest I don’t think that far in the future. I was thinking about the possibility of a terrorist attack on the 4th of July.
In 1976 I KNEW What could happen, I met those guys coming out of Viet Nam. We KNEW who the Soviet Union was and why we were in THEIR backyard. And we were only 17-18 years old…
