Harden the schools

When entering our court building to get to the deed’s office. Just like court we do a pocket dump the go through a scanner like the court. As much money that gets waisted why cant this be done at all county schools :us: Also there are at least 2 LEO s at scanner

I don’t think this is necessary at the vast majority of schools or even remotely affordable given all the schools in this country. These events are incredibly rare.

I also don’t know that it would be all that effective at stopping mass killings. The killer could just shoot or break their way in through another door or take advantage of all the kids lined up tightly together at the security check point waiting to have their 4th amendment rights violated.

If our country would stop spending billions on Ukraine and sending billions to Iran, million to Saudi, weaponizing diseases in china and blah, blah, blah other incredibly stupid things to support our enemies; we would have plenty of money to protect, upgrade every school from k-12 plus the colleges. The schools could also be hardened, staff trained and weapons and ammo given to them for free. H3ll just the weapons and ammo we left in Afghanistan alone could do it.

I still don’t think legitimately hardening all schools would be affordable or even worth the money, but I would definitely support taking some of the overseas monies, and some other monies, and diverting them to a reasonable effort at strengthening schools by offering paid training in firearms and also other defensive tools/measures for staff and some hired armed security with certain carefully considered prerequisites and narrow scope of action.

Or hell just start with getting rid of the inane laws that make it illegal for peaceful law abiding folks to carry defensively in and around schools, wouldn’t even cost money. Then spend a relatively little (compared to federal expenditures) on funding some training and installing some automatic locking doors and access control devices (external doors and internal on hallways and corridors etc)

It doesn’t have to be a lot of money to make a difference IMO, and since these incidents are rare it doesn’t justify huge amounts of money either

I think more kid’s lives would be saved by beefing up driver’s ed
