World Class Range.
I wish. My closest outdoor range is an hour away. I shoot indoors 99.999% of the time.
Unfortunately outdoor ranges closed in my area.
Ben Avery Shooting Facility is an outdoor range north of Phoenix, AZ. First photo is of a small “pistol” range used for classes, like a refresher course I took a while back:
The second photo is of one of the 100 or so stations that allow you to place a wooden rack at 5 yard intervals, from 5 to 100 yards. You pay at the central office ($7 for the day) then show the receipt to a range officer who assigns you to one of the stations. (Note the red and yellow lines.) They break after a 15-minute firing period so you can retrieve or update your target frame. Also, they have metal frames for shotgun/shell shooters.
I can also go to an indoor range when the summer heat melts your eyeballs, but we’re talking outdoor ranges here.
Good fresh air…
