95% of these Slovakian-made guns are supposedly for export - has ANYONE out there actually got their HANDS on one? Graham Baates dotes on them - he points out that a panel on their chassiss is marked with the initials of the assembler - if the gun has to be returned for any reason, THAT person is accountable. Only guns from 9mm-on-up feature rotating barrels. Shopping their website is sucktastic and a real UPITA - and shows each model TWICE - one image is in English, the other in Slovakian - all specs are metric - you’ll have to pull up a separate tab for a conversion calculator, and go back-and-forth to convert them to inches. There’s no mention of extra grip adapters, packaging, etc., and this situation hasn’t changed since I shopped them 2 years ago.
Never heard of them…but apparently they’re readily available…everywhere.

I like European handguns.. probably because I was born there… ![]()
But seriously… Grand Power pistols are OK. Cannot tell these are awesome or bad… all is personal preference.
I was shooting P1 model, comparing it to CZ P01 (CZ75Compact) - I was big CZ75 series fan.
I still value CZ more.
For me Grand Power P1 was a mix of CZ75 Compact and Beretta PX4. It felt in hands like CZ, but shooting experience was almost the same as shooting PX4. It actually made sense. Outside construction is very close to CZ75, action setup is the same as PX4.
That was 4 - 5 years ago. These days, when we get so many handguns options, I wouldn’t bother buying Grand Power. Even I love hammer fired handguns, 1911/2011 platform is way better than any Grand power handgun.
My last gun purchase was a Stribog sp9a3g. Takes Glock mags. Great trigger, much better accuracy than I expected. Out of my 35 guns, it’s either this or an 11.5” AR that’s the most fun, and the nod goes to the Stribog as suppressed 9mm just gives a good sound and “thwack” hitting the target.
Got it on gunzonedeals.com after looking on gun.deals for availability and best price. Bought the gun after seeing a SIG pcc at the local store which I loved but thought to be overpriced.
