Not a movie but a 2006-2008 series that I recently found on Prime. “Jericho”. Basically, the government bombed 20+ cities, blamed it on other countries, so DHS and a large off the books “company” (military contractor) can take over the US. Plausible?? Yes. Lots of gunfire that yall might like if nothing else.

It was The Walking Dead without zombies. I can’t think of a better post-apocalyptic tv series.

I thought it was excellent too.
We already have walking dead unfortunately, They are called drug addicts (meth, bath salts, etc and worse). I’m talking about people who have made a life choice to be homeless, addicts, criminals. To see them in the streets is scary.
There are many people on drugs who don’t choose this life and truly need assistance though. I won’t place them all in one package.
Documentary. Heck it could be. Makes me wonder why they abruptly shut down a good series.

Lennie was a tad strange in the first season. In the end he turned out to say, 'it’s all about the mission (to save the country). That changed my mind about him. Plus he could drive a tank and had a bunch of guns!
I don’t care for zombie movies. Most are cheaply made junk that Hollywood uses to poke fun at people who prepare for emergencies. IMO.
I liked “Homestead” too but only saw the first three shows.

Just have to say, went and saw “Peoject: Hail Mary” at the movies today. What an amazing movie. I truly, truly enjoyed it. No big action scenes just a really good movie.
Recommended by someone I trust, I watched Sandlot for the first time
