Your link refers to a procedure we use in the ICU called bronchioalveolar lavage. It helps with aspiration pneumonia and some other lung conditions, but I am not aware of any published studies related to SARS. Non medical media embellished his answer. Clearly a doctor told him about the procedure. He probably doesn’t understand it himself.

Biden pointed out precautions we could take that would allow businesses to stay open while we weather the storm and wait for a safe and effective vaccine…That’s part of the issue with Trump… He made precautions the enemy… he made precautions a political choice…and they shouldn’t be… A mask shouldn’t be an indicator of whether or not you support Trump…but it is somehow…

The somehow is because politicians didn’t let the pandemic go to waste. Many of them over stepped the line with their mandates and executive orders, the people that pushed back were labeled (as with everything else related to identity politics). Yes many did vote for President Trump for the simple fact that Trump was elected because people are tired of the same dog and pony show. Nearly half if not more of this country has early proven they are tired of the government so heavily involved in their day to day life.
If a business or local government requires a mask to enter a building that is their decision. But for the government to limit what can be done on private property or in public spaces that is heading very quickly towards tyranny. The blow back we are seeing is people saying they would rather face covid than a tyrannical government.

Yeah, but it would have never got to a point where any government had to start issuing mandates if Trump supporters weren’t associating masks with burkas and making them out to be a sign of weakness. If people just took some precautions in the first place, we could have taken a tremendous burden off of our medical facilities and the various governments wouldn’t have had to mandate anything…
That said, here we are post-election and some of Trumps biggest anti-maskers are now mandating precautions… Governor Stitt, in Oklahoma, just held a press conference … the infrastructure is bursting and something had to be done…

By the way, in major urban areas, the hospitals may be overburdened, but in a majority of the nation, there is less of that.
Interesting, hospitals were told to cut back on all other treatments and surgeries and cases… to ensure sufficient capability for Covid, and the need did not arise, and some of those hospitals were cutting back on staff…
It is not a lack of hospital beds… it may be a lack of sufficient beds in densely populated urban areas like New York, and you add in Cuomo’s policies and you get a lot of deaths.
If you fear the virus, you are free to avoid going out in public, to avoid eating at restaurants, or going anywhere you are nervous about… the rest of us will live our lives…
And by the way… you have no clue what you are talking about with your media and Democrat party generated talking points and propaganda.
I do not wear a mask, unless it is absolutely needed, and if I am interacting with those who are at risk, the elderly specifically.
Your Covid fear almost caused me a serious health issue… I went to the hospital in June, feverish, and other symptoms,… not of Covid, but Lime or Rocky Mountain Spotted fever… the hospital took blood, ran tests and called me on a Sunday to tell me the Covid was negative… they said in case I was worried… which I was not. I asked about the Lime and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and they said they had no results.
I got a rash two days later and made an appointment with a doctor, and asked about those tests… and they DID NOT DO THEM. I was almost hospitalized due to illnesses the hospital FAILED to test for due to your fear of Covid.
As it turned out, I had tested inconclusive for Lime, and did test as positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
Amazing how the fear mongering tested me for something I did not have and was not at the hospital for.
So, you keep plying your talking points and being insulting to who you think Trump supporters are.

Biden and Harris are free to do what they want with their own bodies. Withholding medication or vaccination from others without a legitimate medical reason is criminal. Biden is not a doctor. Nor is Governor Whitmer.
Trump is no angel, and his mouth lost him several important states this election, but he did a very good job organizing the “operation warp speed” vaccine development program.
Phase 1 human trials proved 11 vaccines are safe in humans. Phase 2 proved 11 vaccines are effective against SARS-CoV-2 in humans. Phase 3 is providing dosing and side effect observations with much larger sample sizes. Moderna’s Phase 3 trial is scheduled to conclude in August 2022 (two years) and phase 4 is likely to continue through 2032. (Ten more years). It would be nice to use the vaccine before the beneficiaries are dead.
The 11 vaccines are being made available quickly because trump and several other world leaders threw a lot of government money at more than a dozen companies before they were proven. This removed the financial risk from the companies.
As for masks, I have drained four facial abscesses this summer. Masks are NOT 100% safe. They do catch boogers if you tend not to cover your nose and mouth, but they can cause cellulitis. Here is a randomized controlled trial (gold standard) published this week in the Annals of Internal Medicine (peer reviewed journal with very high scientific standards) investigating the efficacy of masks. I’m pretty sure it won’t be discussed on CNN:

- You don’t have a right to put anyone else at risk. Plain and simple. That’s not your right. That said, I don’t support the government forcing you to do anything. I do expect them to force businesses to uphold mandates or shut their doors though… I can’t go into CVS with no shoes or shirt on…they don’t have a problem enforcing that… You should get trespassed if you go there and attempt to put others at risk. So fine the businesses until it’s cheaper to comply than it is to allow their facilities to become spreading stations.
- Biden never said he was going to withhold medication from people in need without a “legitimate medical reason”. You are making that up to build your argument…He said that he would defer to medical professionals on the matter. Which is what somebody that is not a medical professional is supposed to say…when we are talking about medical issues.
- Any president would throw money at this issue. That’s not a unique decision. Very few would promote unhealthy behavior while doing that though… that was a unique decision.
- I agree that masks can cause skin issues. I don’t know what the perfect solution is…but I know we can slow the spread down if we all just stop fighting about something that is, ultimately, good for all of us…All of us get to get back to living life quicker if we just work together to solve the issue.
That’s a bit hyperbolic. Plague was attributed to Yersinia pestis in the oriental rat fleas found on the mice eating the grain during the mini ice age from which we are still emerging. Not sure any human could be blamed for that one.

Having spent 20+ years in the military, I think I’ve had just about every vaccination known to man including Anthrax, and I haven’t grown a third eye in my belly yet. Given that I’ve reached that wonderful point of life where I’m at an increased risk, I think I’ll get the vaccine when it becomes available.
