Kevin29, I think you’re probably right with having to get vaccinated and having an id cared to prove it. But at the same point why would I want a vaccination that is 90 % effective, when if I get the virus chances of survival are what., 99.6% survival rate, roughly.

It’s all about money. When governments prepay for a product, motivation to manufacture goes up. Drug companies rarely make a profit on generic medications or vaccines. If you know that you will be expected to give all you use product away for free, why make it?
Part of the reason the effectiveness of influenza vaccine is so low is because of the guesswork in choosing which strains to provide each year. When you provide too many strains at once, your immune system does not “memorize” any strain very well.
Pfizer and Moderna used the mRNA sequence provided by China, verified it, determined the gene that makes the spike protein, and artificially replicated that gene strand. This was risky. It had the potential to make harmful proteins or trigger autoimmune reactions. It is experimental. However, we now have 30,000+ patients who have received these vaccines and the only reported side effects were fever, chills, muscle aches, swelling. Similar to any other vaccine causing a strong immune response.
The science is sound. The aggressive financial investments from USA, Britain, Germany, France is the reason we will have 11 vaccines within a year of starting.
I would like to see credit go to the right people, NOT Biden and Harris.

Isn’t it great how they’ve eradicated the regular flu? Haven’t heard of a single case of H1N1 being diagnosed since the pandemic started.
And how about the effectiveness of this movie vaccine? 90% effective or more, depending on who you listen to. Yet the annual flu vaccine is usually around 50-60%. They’ve had years to work on those vaccines against a known virus.
Just seems …convenient to me.

But, if they have their way, a virus with 99.999% survival rate would not matter, if they can gain power and control by forcing you to be vaccinated and cause harm to your career and business.
I see little difference between this and the flu. Perhaps a little more contagious but still, most people survive and most do not even know they have had it.
NYC is a large percentage of the deaths, what did NYC do wrong.

I think the choice needs to be made carefully for the first round. I would recommend starting with the age groups who, if they contracted the virus, would have the highest likelihood of survival anyway… Then move to each age group as results dictate. I would hate to kill of the entire population of people over 65 accidentally by just mandating they get it first. I am no doctor, but seems to me start with those with immune systems who would recover if something went sideways then move up the ladder of higher risk persons. Volunteers from higher risk populations, give them the shot and monitor them closely.

Dr.Ezekiel Emmanuel, who will head the CV-19 advisory board for our president-not-quite-elect would disagree, since he hopes anyone over 75 just drops dead. So, we may see 1st round available for the elderly.
If you have concerns about fatal outcomes with this vaccine, then it is probably unwise to endanger the 1st responders either, and vaccines are usually mandated for Dr’s and nurses.

and if the vaccine turns out to cause brain cancer, you’ll go back to demonizing scientists… without consideration of the political pressure to release the vaccine before testing is complete…

Link? What I heard biden say was he will take the vaccine when doctors and scientists say it’s safe… there’s a question as to whether or not that can be determined in the short time trump has left… So perhaps that’s what they were referring to if what you say is true…

Go google the debates. Harris very clearly stated she would not take any vaccine developed while Trump was President.
By the way, Trump is listening to the scientists, so if they tell him the vaccine is good, he says it is good, Harris will not believe him and reject the vaccine.
