Nope. I joined the Army and became a Uh-1 door gunner, lots more fun and I got to fly helicopters. Spent 17 years combined in the Army and National Guard.

You never know brother @BeanCounter. Maybe gang initiation or something else. Maybe he was bullied or teased. Teachers should be trained on picking up on these things such as odd behavior or a kid being bullied. He had all summer to plan this. Lets all pray for these victims and there families.

But having raised two young men and meeting many of their friends,…
Many of them strive for individuality that is not acceptable in today’s indoctrination facilities.
Boys are girls, girls are boys, and the 45lb wet dishrag on the sidelines still wins the football teams trophy for their loosing season.
If parents dare try to raise them, the system tries to punish the parents.
He did this to “make a name” for himself, to stand out and be identifiable from the androgynous masses. Much the same as the aurora theatre shooter.

Apalachee High School shooting latest: Teen suspect’s father charged with murder (msn.com)
The father of the 14-year-old student accused of opening fire at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the deadly shooting, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Thursday.
Colin Gray, 54, was charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children, the GBI said.
His son has also been charged with four counts of felony murder, with additional charges expected, the GBI said.
Two teachers and two students were killed in Wednesday morning’s shooting: math teacher and football coach Richard Aspinwall, 39; math teacher Christina Irimie, 53; and students Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, officials said.
Eight students and one teacher were injured, officials said. All of the injured victims are expected to recover, Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said.

This is so sad! This kid was frustrated with who knows what and his response was to kill people. The problem in my opinion is the disregard and disrespect for life in general through legal abortions, movies like John Wick, video games that are so real they could send a ww2 vet into shell shock just by watching a kid play the game. Death is real and final. We’ve all been desensitized to this and the younger, the more effected. I’m not sure what the answer is but I’m damm sure that the more the general population disregards the miracle of life, the more I’m going to want to be able to protect myself and my family. Obviously no one else will. Also, home schooling solves this problem. It also requires a strong family unit and one of those adults to be home as a full time parent. All of these ideals have been attacked with great efficiency. This country became a world power on the backs of home schooled men and the mothers that taught them.

I listened to the audio book version of Assassination Generation on my way to and from taking MAG40 a few years back. It is shocking what is in violent movies and video games. This book describes game play from some of the most popular video games. It is indescribable.
There is also a story (not sure if it’s in this book) where a kid violently kills his mother. He honestly expected her to get back up and revive after he hacked her to pieces because that’s what happens in the alternate reality of these video games-death is not “real and final” (as you so eloquently noted).
Your statement of the necessity of a strong family unit is spot on. It’s very difficult in this day and age to have a parent at home (dare I say the mother or is that sexist?). However, there are creative and radical solutions. And to turn a phrase from the good book, what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own children?

I’m gonna shock most of you here with this post. But I actually agree with Everytown for Gun Safety on something, namely their take on active shooter drills in schools. They are opposed to them and their reasoning actually makes a ton of sense. Read their report if you care to.

I wanted to immediately dismiss it but because I trust your judgment, I read the article.
My question for that group is, did communities which had to do earthquake and atomic bomb drills similarly suffer?

I think the increased risk to health is only temporary. If not for the drills deaths from not having the drills will increase. Once the drill become routine the trauma will decrease and so will the deaths. I can not prove this because it is not worth taking the risk of not having the drills. If there are no school shootings there is no way to prove it either. There won’t be anymore school shootings. It’s a win win situation.
I think the people behind this are willing to risk children’s lives to further their agenda.
