Friday Fun: Hollywood Gun Handling

Or a laser sword.

Don’t knock on light sabers…

If they’re going to make a movie about guns, it would be nice if they actually did their research. I LOVE watching the videos of Keanu Reeves training for John Wick, because he did the work.

So did Halle Berry for the latest one.

Aw man ! I thought this was multiple choice or I would have picked:
anti-gun lectures
unending magazines
poor trigger finger discipline

I’ll start making the polls multiple choice more often.

Such a good topic and would make one heck of a drinking game

*With our firearms in the safe of course

Bulletproof cars (ex. Bullets bouncing off an 83 Chevy Monte Carlo), buildings, boats, Level III kevlar suits, head shots made from 700 yards with a .45 pistol, exit hole the same size as the entrance hole

Just seen this today at TV :joy:
The owner of this nice pistol is a Cop

Five seconds later he was sitting comfortable in the chair. :stuck_out_tongue:

The poll is badly flawed, it needs to have multiple possibilities including ā€œAll of the aboveā€.

He’s actually a pretty accomplished competition shooter as well.

At least he combines some knowledge and experience with the fantasy magic glock performances.

Yep, constantly racking rounds into the 870 every time a bad guy pops up gets old.

Binge watched season 1 of Amazon original’s ā€œHannaā€ this week… pretty good gun handling throughout. Trigger discipline, no double racking for the "now I’m serious " effect, overall, I approve! And a pretty watchable series.

I hate how the actors keep on ā€˜cocking’ the gun, glock, 870 or revolver everytime they move around a corner…

I drive my friends nuts when we watch Netflix and guns are being ā€˜mishandled’ by some actor.

What irks me the most about Hollywood movies is how all the producers and actors are so quick to join anti gun marches, speeches, spectacles, etc… however when a dollar is needed to be made the first plot they look to produce and make involves a lot of guns used and heroes portrayed using them. The hypocrisy makes me want to throw up. Done ranting. Sorry.

How about all the guns and ammo that seem to have no recoil, especially handguns?

I cannot remember what I was watching this weekend but I paused and rewound it a couple of times and annoyed my daughter and my boyfriend with a short rant about how you don’t cock a Glock 17 (the guy had just come around the corner with a Glock 17 drawn and aimed at someone - and then they made it sound like he was cocking a hammer). UGH! I don’t know who was more annoyed - me or my family listening to my rant

Can you imagine what Mr Gaston Glock would do hearing this?

He would probably hear ā€œcha chingā€ in stead. :grinning:
