I’m currently working with a state representative on 3 possible bills for the next legislative session. The first would define self-defense as a civil right in the state of Idaho. The second would redefine the term ‘private property’ in our firearm codes so that any business that is open to the public and also accepts or has accepted any public funding is considered public property unless the business accepts liability and responsibility for protecting its customers. The third bill I call the ‘Keep Idaho Red’ bill. It can best be explained as an intrastate electoral college. Each county would get one vote based on the county’s popular vote for all statewide elections and ballot initiatives. We are also exploring whether it can apply to presidential elections. I’d love feedback and support. We have some RINOs in committee chairmanships that sometimes prevent good bill from reaching the floor for a vote. We will have to put the pressure on them.
