We do get the occasional troll here who just wants to cause trouble but they don’t seem to last long. There is a noticeable difference between disagreeing and discussing in a way that some may find annoying and actively trolling people.
Though if you are the one being disagreed with it may sometimes be harder to recognize that difference. I know this because I am often the one being disagreed with:)

I had to read back up a few times after your post here Shamrock. I missed that I was referenced in there until you tagged me.
I think it’s near impossible to frequent the same forum for so long, care about what you are posting, have your own opinions which you will stand by and explain the reasoning/logic/source for, and not have have a long winded disagreement here and there with somebody else who fits that same description (frequents same forum, cares, opinions, stand by, etc)
Especially on the internet, you can agree to the core with another person on like 99% of things but you’re still going to have some back and forths on that 1% here and there. Too many opportunities on too many things people genuinely care about not to.
I am here because of who I am and what I believe, and post as nothing but myself.
I do work for Delta Defense, the official service provider of the US Concealed Carry Association. But I don’t post to the community in that capacity. The moderators are on a different team and the Community is theirs. I don’t do any “social media” in an employment/work capacity whatsoever
This does not change what I post in any way other than providing me with the training, knowledge, and experience to speak matter of facts to some of the more ‘technical’, if you will, aspects that come up, such as the Self Defense Liability Insurance Policy that members are additional insureds on. That’s something I am trained on and I am a licensed insurance agent (Property and Casualty) admitted to discuss such things in 48 states + D.C, I believe it is.
I was a member of USCCA for more than 2 years before I even heard of Delta Defense. That’s how I heard about the job, an email that went out to members.
I have been carrying daily since 2005. I have also attended a police academy though I had a change of heart and quit before being POST certified. (brag: I had the highest qual scores in my class on pistol, in a class that originally had 30 recruits and featured 11 former military 4 of which were Marines, and 2 previously certified officers coming from other departments) . I also have a couple degrees one of which is Criminal Justice, and I have interned at a different police department than the one I was employed with while a recruit. I have trained with (as in I paid and went to their classes lol) Larry Vickers, JON DUFRESNE, Frank Proctor, and others

Thanks for that information. The point I was trying to get across is that I don’t believe you are getting paid by the USCCA to post on their behalf on this forum. Though I did not realize you were employed by Delta Defense that doesn’t change my opinion of your posts. I think it is pretty clear the subjects you post on are ones you are personally passionate and knowledgeable about. Your responses don’t seem like canned PR statements to me at least. Though I still might just be a pimple faced teenager typing away in my parents basement;)

If it pleases the court I wish to make a couple of personal comments (from experience).
WHEN you are a Guard (no matter what previous skills, badges, etc. you HAD in the past you are to FOLLOW THE RULES!) PERIOD!
If you WERE a Former Secret Service ‘AGENT’ and you take a position in UNARMED SECURITY you are to be UNARMED! Is that clear enough for everybody?
The reason is Liability issues for the guard and for the company that hired you as well as the Place you are posted. If you can’t/won’t leave your firearm @ home then don’t take the position offered.
I AM NOT for unarmed security. You are as useless as tits on a bull. The plastic /cloth badges are worthless in todays climate. If people think they can APPEASE EVERYBODY these days they are just fooling themselves.
I have never taken an unarmed position and now don’t do security at all because the boundaries have moved and you aren’t ALLOWED to stop crimes and crim’s from Crimmin’! WTF is the point of having an Armed guard if they are hog-tied from doing their jobs. And another point is don’t think that this dude (who was a former/current Leo ‘supposedly’ knew what he was about). there are LE’s in New Mexico that are relatives of an LT or Captain and are given a position as a ‘Sherriff’ or ‘deputy’ just because of who they know or are related to. Take the Farmington NM incident where they couldn’t find the right house of a ‘Domestic’ call and killed an innocent who was awakened from a dead sleep and killed for his appearing in the doorway of his own house w/ his firearm! I won’t debate this issue with anybody but if these ‘Cops’ said loudly and often “WE ARE THE POLICE!” We need to talk to the residents inside or WE ARE RESPONDING TO A COMPLAINT/INCIDENT OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! WE NEED TO TALK! ANYTHING but blast away at the poor bugger that answers to sounds outside in the middle of the night! Hey-souce and his (12) buddies is Common sense a lost art? The basic training out here is EXTREMELT BASIC! There are a couple of Firms out here that are worth their weight in gold and you have to be former MILITARY to even be considered. THOSE are the one’s who should be doing the major bulwark of Security but there just aren’t enough of us to go around. They get the Airbase contracts here, Defense Contractor’s snap them all up. Schools? forget about that. We have APS (Albuq. Public Schools) Mall cops… I wouldn’t let them guard an Arby’s! Scary they have Firearms!..around Children!
My basic NMRLD (New Mexico Really Lame Dept.) training consisted of ‘Classroom’ (3) days and
‘Range’ Qualifying (about (20) minutes each ‘student’. Um…NO! They need more training I thought! How can you give a wood-be Rambo classroom knowledge where the Trainer’s basically read from a very thin ‘manual’? and gave all the correct answers to our tests so no one failed! On the Range it was really basic in that one ‘student’ tried to load her Kahr arms semi magazine backwards! it was the first time she was loading ‘Live’ ammo into the firearm! I took it away from her and brought her up to the Instructor and told him what I witnessed, she was crying and the instructor was upset with me his company lost the potential $$ of placing her somewhere to kill a Mother of (3) in a Mall food court. Sometimes you HAVE to break a few eggs! I’m not a popular guy in the Security field out here because I can’t put up with bull$hit!. Now in Bodyguarding I was always in high demand because I had no problem with doing my job, Protecting my people and kickin’ a bunch of asses. Celeb’s/Corporate want to be safe. THAT is your job. Now you have to look like a Model, Adonis to even be considered. I’m a nice looking guy but I look more like a drinkin’ buddy than ‘Fabio’.
Times have changed and as I said Boundaries have shifted and I moved on. I can’t tolerate stupidity. If anybody thinks I am just tooting my horn just ask a famous actress in Taos, Nm when (2) thugs tried to harm her children and I put both azzhats in the hospital without firing a shot! It’s NOT the Gun when you do security/bodyguarding it’s about a level of peace and normalcy you bring to the table. You don’t show your weapon most times because most of your clients are ANTI-GUN! but they want the Safety you provide…It’s a fine line to walk but for $1000+ a day you learn to deal w/ their insane notions of what they want.
Sorry went off on a tangent as usual but there are RULES. This guy who concealed a piece did us Gunner’s NO FAVORS! I bet the kid he hit (by accident) and his family agree.

Completely disagree. If my security team asked me to not show any weapons I wouldn’t. I’d conceal begrudgingly because now I know it takes that much longer to access my firearm if God forbid I need it. Just like this guy did. He saved countless lives because of his wise decision and if anything he made the gun controlled look foolish, again. He shot nobody he wasn’t supposed to and stopped a mass shooter. It’s hard for me to understand anyone disagreeing with what this guy did.

HE BROKE THE LAW! by carrying, IN A SCHOOL ZONE NO LESS! The County FORBIDS Guards from being ARMED! Holy Mary Mother …! And just where in this article did you glean that this person put on his cape and saved the day?, saving countless lives when he pointed @ the muzzle of a COPS gun and fired of a round (not hitting the cop thank fully) but the round went through a wall hitting an INNOCENT KID!
How did he shoot nobody he wasn’t suppose to? Did he read the kids evil thoughts about his classmate mary Jane magillacuddy the next desk over who tormented him hostile intent through his 3rd grade Home Ec class? and lastly not to beat a dead horse how did this person stop the Mass shooting?
The ONE round he fired hit an Innocent. Whoever stopped the Slaughter wasn’t mentioned but it wasn’t Deputy Rule Breaker.
We rail against all these stupid laws on the books here and continue to be made AGAINST Law abiding

That may be true, but they will keep on voting for the one’s wanting to strip those rights. I only know a couple liberals that have one or two guns, say they are pro 2A but will put abortion or some other dumb shi! Before the 2nd. That is fake BS!

He was legally allowed to carry in the school just like those sheriffs were. He was told not to. He stopped one of the shooters and I don’t believe he hit the girl. Because he didn’t listen to the morons running the school and concealed a firearm he was able to stop one of the shooters.

For the same reason I thought you seemed like an employee for the company. It just didn’t make sense to me what I was reading. A gut thing to go with the information I was being fed. Bullets flying everywhere in a mass shooting. Bullets going through walls left and right. The guy not going to jail. Firearms being fired at the same time in the same place. It being colorado and a colorado news paper. It fitting perfectly with the agenda of vilifying the hero. I’m not convinced.

I usually scold @shamrock (as a joke). for saying something I agree with. He and I disagree on some topcs but he articulates his positions clearly and frequently says things I agree with.

That is interesting about school zones. In Ohio you can legally have a gun in a school zone so long as you do not take it out of your car and, and leave it locked in car if you have to go in school or get outside of your car in general.

Actually Brother it’s that same here in Nu-‘Meh’-ee-co.
You CAN have it in your car to pick up your kid (s) Drive on their property no sweat
Just not on your hip/open carry etc etc.
And the only people who get bent outta shape here really is the .gov
Some say it will get where you can’t ‘drive in/by’ a school zone w/ a gun anywhere
(Leave it at home in a lock box/unloaded, w/ your sister in Arizona holding your bullets.
(But that is for another topic at another time)
I think the point I was trying and maybe failing to make a couple of months ago was
an UNARMED is by LAW UNARMED, an RSO/Armed Security/Cop of course is ‘Allowed’
to carry because he/she has the proper ‘Mother may I Licenses/Permits’
Looking at my post I ‘should’ have written "Being an unarmed guard yet still decided
hey I am Protecting the children/staff, I’m a cop, former, I can carry anyway
‘Who’s it going to hurt?’ Well, It’s agin de LAU! for starters. And you can get strung up by the cojones!
Since that post I went back into Security. The laws have actually changed a bit (quietly)
but for the better. If qualified we can carry an assortment of weapons we weren’t allowed to carry before. The Peaceable ‘migrant’ situation is getting out of control. I’m sorry Migrant-Americans… 
Muslim-Terrorist-Americans, Venezuelan–American-Hit squads 
We can now clear Vacant apartments of said migrants and protect ourselves to boot. Halleluiah!

But as a lowly security guard I follow the rules so my rear isn’t thrown into the pan after a shoot.
I’ll probably still get sued by the Terrorist/Trans-gender bending freak’s family but that is why I have the USCCA/I have your back Insurance to weather the fire storm. I follow the rules and I ‘should’ be covered.
