Even as a kid, I enjoyed military films. I’m 24 years retired Navy…some of what I consider classics:
The Caine Mutiny

The Sands of Iwo Jima

My favorite movie is still “The Outlaw Josey Wales”
But for a fun netflix , the wife and I watched the “Starsky & Hutch” movie from like 2006 or something. If you’re at least 55 years old you’ll love it. It was really funny and not be a spoiler, there were a few cameo’s in it.
Welcome to the community, Darkstar.
I LOVE Silver Bullet! Classic Steven King, not to mention Gary Busey. If you like werewolves -who doesnt?- The Howling.
Now those are some classics.
Welcome to the family and god bless you.

Happy birthday man! Have a wonderful day.
Most from the 80’s/90’s…not sure where the cutoff for “classic” is, but these are great movies and I put a favorite in from 1922 so I should be covered ![]()

BY THE WAY!!! WHEN IS THE POOL PARTY AT JOHNNYS???
Thomas…I remember reading the book…The Caine Mutany! Havent thought about that in years…read it many years ago!
Thank you my brother and if you are ever in the Hampton Roads look me up as I will do when I am in your neck of the woods. BTW I’m into those old movies myself I love them. They should’ve had a line in that movie where one of those big Stars would’ve said, “ You ain’t taking my guns.”
Overall, an exceptional movie. I thought it a bit interesting when Steve McQueen and James Coburn were teaching the villagers how to shoot handguns. They definitely had an ammo shortage so plenty of dry-firing. The real force-multiplier was not the 7 hired for $20.00 each to protect the village. It was the villagers learning how to protect themselves and their families. A strong USCCA message…
