Check these out for an alternative for Pelican’s pricey line - their “Compact” line is offered in several sizes and colors - the 20" comes with a pair of additional snap-latches for bomb-proof security, and weighs a hefty 9+ pounds, empty, if you take an arsenal of handguns to the range. FYI

Those look like some very sturdy cases. A lot more protection than I need for the range but would certainly consider them if I flew with firearms more often.
