Methinks it’s time to let this entire powder keg just blow itself up. The Turks don’t want us… leave. In fact, let’s just quit trying to play cop to this part of the world, get our troops redeployed where they are wanted. Or here’s an idea… bet the RA & NG could take care of the border issue and deportation like nobody’s business. Job would be a good one. Then, gather up all of the anti-American students and foreigners here on VISA’s, especially those “over stayed”, and ship them back home. I’ll stop now. But, I am po’d here… some lefty has now stolen two President Trump signs from my lawn!

That’s not a vision of the United States I want to live in. We have a Posse Comitatus for a reason. Yes, getting illegal immigrants out of the Country is a noble, laudable goal. But let’s say for giggles we give the power to the President to use Federal Troops that way. He looses the the troops on America and the Army/Marines do what they do. Now, there’s precedent for the President to use them under the Presidential War Powers Act. That means he doesn’t have to answer for their usage for 48 hours, and can use them for 60 days.
That’s not a possibility I want to see. Especially right now, a President who is not in control and has powers acting his name who are behind the scenes in control.
Though this may be laughably naive but I would hope that our Military from Battalion Command and down would refuse to be used as a big green hammer. Or at least stay in their barracks

All well and good there but you are allowing a power vacuum struggle to ensue. It opens the avenue for the Axis of evil to fill the void giving us fewer ports of call to rely on in times of crisis while perhaps China or Russia have use of them. Don’t let these minor incidents weaken your resolve to have that advantage in the global scope of things. Perhaps you might think of it as exactly as I plotted it out. This was done by a minority being aggressive to excite the crowds who otherwise were neutral on our presence there. Be careful for what you wish for. Don’t get caught up in your emotions. You forgo logic otherwise. Pray for the Marines safety.
