My comment wasn’t intended to disparage you in any way. You asked a question, I gave my answer. Naming my guns simply doesn’t fit my personality or sense of “fun”.

My wife named a few firearms of mine that she liked to keep within arms reach when I’m out of town. She adopted 1 game or thrones name and a pirate name for a couple of her favorite 9mm’s she has next to her when I’m away.
As for me, I’d prefer to call all my firearms, “my friends” so I can use the quote from Scarface, “Say hello to my little friend!” if I ever have to draw them.

The service got me started on that, had the same serial number for almost my entire time so I knew Betty inside and out. I kept that name for my AR and now my 92FS while not my favorite gun has earned the name Jill for some slightly immature reasons but in the middle of COVID doing a mag dump and seeing the grouping can bring a smile to my face.
Just please don’t remind me how much it just cost me.
