I made a copy of the CCW Map for myself. And a neighbor and were talking. And they asked if the state they were going to be going to would honor the AZ carry permit. I gave them the copy that I made. I do have a copy saved on my laptop for myself still.
You can use the USCCA app that has an interactive map on it as well, @Reloader54. I would be sure to refresh the print copy of the map you have frequently before you travel.
@Dawn, I do. And I also have the “Concealed Carry App” on my cell that I can also check as well. And it tells what states honor what states honor other states carry permits as well as the gun laws for that state too. And the app is free.
I figured you did, but just in case - and for others who might be reading this thread I wanted to make sure people are checking their laws frequently. You never know when they’re going to change slightly and cause issues.
I have the USCCA app and another from FLP… I check both (redundancy is a good thing). I update data every time i open them… things change. I don’t print unless i expect to be somewhere that may not have service, and if i do, i reprint just before i travel, because … things change.
Starting to learn the knife laws now, need an app as good as USCCA for that… haven’t found one.
A great site for knife laws broken down by state is
Knifeup dot com.
I get all of my information on knives from there. It’s not quite as easy as the USCCA app but it is still easy to use and you can go through it state by state.
It’s really weird though, knife laws are so radically different from state to state. As in if I go from Al. to TN. The knife I have in AL. is legal but a felony in TN. and the same for coming back.
