Dead far right kid in France

I doubt our sources will cover this.

You COULD NOT pay me enough to travel to the UK/EUROPE. (Frankly, outside the good old USA is verboten!) (23) huh? Shame.
But this can also be a CAUTIONARY TAIL and the late Quentin may not have died in vain.

One thing you should know
 the way we see Europe
 the Europe sees us :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
It is no Europe is better or USA is better, Europe is safer or USA is safer

Both continents have issues, we just look at these issues differently.

I lived in Europe 35 years, for lat 20 years I’ve been visiting Europe every year, spending great time in most of European countries. So far I have never experienced single problem.

You know.. it is exactly like here - if you are aware, nothing happens; if you are not aware - anything can happen.

It’s a pity you don’t want to travel to Europe. Maybe you would change your mind about it, once you spent a few days or weeks there.

There are beautiful, quiet and peaceful places to live in each Continent

It just so happens that many of the worse violence has occurred in the tourist areas. Shortly after I got back from London many years ago, there was a huge riot in the streets right where we were staying several blocks from Buckingham Palace in Picadilly Circus and in Leicester Square, quite near there, too. Also in London, in recent years, numerous knife attasks involving numerous victims, and vehicle massacres. In France last year, there were riots in Paris, again, in the tourist areas. Lyon is also a big tourist city, important in the wine industry, too. The list is quite long, and in many countries. Yes, many places are safe, but it is getting worse. Look at all the riots in France in recent years in numerous cities. Places that are great to go to, unless you happen to be there when these “events” occur.

I, too, though, still like to travel and was in Scotland a few years ago, and on an Mediteranian cruise last year. One big difference is in the USA, we are “allowed” to have - in most states - self-defense tools that when traveling abroad, you can’t. Situational awareness only goes so far. Ironically, our cruise consultant last year asked us why we did not want to go to Paris. Then a couple of weeks later there was the rioting - not at all dangerous. However, we are still going to France next year. A Southern Rhone cruise ending in Lyon.

My Good Sir, Not bragging but I have been there done that (EU, Middle East, Africa-a few times). Was stationed in Oxford for a few months, Treblinka Poland for a bit. Caught some great ‘Acts’ rock n roll in London’s Hammersmith.
But I’m a home body now. Simple as that. Enjoy the World, that’s what it’s there for—but UNARMED these days for me ? No thank you.
I’ve said this before ‘Beware of the Muslim’ folk’s called me a hater (and here they are)
They just don’t get they are on OUR soil now. Our Ground. You want to mess with us in your sandbox fine (we shoot back)—But you try that sh!t here? Hasta La Vista baby!

You nailed it. born Chicago to military family. Served combat roles in the military myself. As an African American, I have never felt hatred more than when I am here in the United States engaging some of my “fellow citizens”. Europe was amazing every time I went. I loved France and Italy and they loved me. When I hear men proudly proclaim the rest of the world is the issue and that is why they never go anywhere
I don’t hear men’ how have lives I want for myself nor my children. We travel. We build connections. We aim to know and enjoy as much of this world as possible.

@Don102 , I wasn’t picking on you and based on your past posts I figured out you were already visiting the World. But.. what about now? What changed? The whole World is f#$ed up, even USA.

My point is that we constantly blame and discuss all the bad stuff happened abroad while we have the same here
and there is no hope and solution to be better.
Yes there are places, cities, countries where danger is around each corner
. but don’t we have similar places and cities within our own Country?

What is the difference between ‘Beware of the Muslim’ in France vs ‘Beware of the Muslim’ in USA? You can be dead the same way. Sometimes it can be even worst in USA, because nobody cares and discuss “USA Muslims” in Europe, but somehow we do care about “European Muslims”

Anyway
we can talk about Quentin Deranque.. but it is just waste of time. He wasn’t the first and will not be the last who dies with no reason.

If you are part of radical far-right factions in the city of Lyon where also ultraleft groups exists - you should not expect happy and long life.

But.. wait
don’t we have the same situations in USA? :grimacing: Yes we do
but unfortunately we got used to hear about deaths in USA and we pass by it indifferently
.

You are NOT picking on me we’re ‘discussing’ sh!t. Big difference. As for ‘the situation’ it’s off kilter all over not just HERE or abroad. We are under attack by the Mass migration of many flavor’s. (Yes, we shut down the Borders FINALLY! but now we have the hoards inside our gates. It will get worse before it gets better because PUSH BACK is always messy. I’m getting to the point in my life where HOME is where the heart is. This 1/2 mechanical body does NOT like Airplanes. The Obama/Biden.gov has made traveling (for me) unpleasant.
I prefer my Home, My Fam, My Guns. But quite honestly I’m very concerned with our own backyard. Clean that up and I’m a happy camper.
Trump is sending the message we are NOT the Worlds Police anymore. Sink or swim basically, disconnecting the Financial Tit as it were is the best thing that could happen for the U.S.
And RADICAL FAR LEFT AND RIGHT IS EXTREME either way you slice it.

Isn’t it exciting to go someplace you have never been? Not to hear about what it is like but to experience it for yourself. Imagine the exploders going to lands unknown to anyone. What lays in the lands ahead? Good thing our forefathers did not say, I am not going there, I do not want to get scared. We would all still be living in Europe and the world would be still flat. The moon would be made of cheese.

On road trips that I have been on, the best experiences that I have had was while I was lost. I have found some very beautiful areas that you would not have had if I never got lost. The same goes for going somewhere you have never been or just wanted to go experience for yourself.

If you are worried about being picked out and attacked, remember the gray man theory and do not make yourself a target.

Honestly? It used to be exciting. Now it is more uncomfortable. Perhaps just me from watching too many self defense videos and being on this forum.
