Brandenburg already erected one confederate monument they were forced to take down elsewhere. They might as well take that one too.Its also my home town.

Well then, now I can visit the Arlington National Cemetery. I was always afraid that the Confederate Memorial would attack me. Steal my money, rape my wife, and kidnap my children. Now I can feel safe. I hope they also have those safety signs up. The one that says no firearms allowed. :unamused::joy::joy::cry:

They are going to replace it with something meaningful.

It’s actually NOT a confederate monument - President Woodrow Wilson declared at the monument’s unveiling in 1914, that it “represented the best of America—a spirit of reconciliation, democracy, freedom, heroism and patriotism.”

In other words the fact that Lincoln wanted to forgive the south and readmit them back into the Union is being given the finger by the big black guy that runs the pentagon!

My Great Great grandfather fought in the 42nd Va. inf. and I am Proud of that fact. No, he didn’t own any slaves, BUT he did believe in States Rights !! The removal of all Confederate monuments from public land including the changing of names, is ridiculous, not to forget the costly, and guess who is paying for that !! Those who fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. What was done is that… DONE Good Bad or Indifferent. The important thing is that future generations Learn from it !!

Wouldn’t count on it, they can’t make change for a dollar, and can’t figure out what bathroom to use. I don’t expect them to understand history. At this point they deserve to repeat it. I’ll be gone, they get to play their socialist communist games. If there were strong patriotic men and women out there, we wouldn’t be in this position!

Once all the history has been eliminated then can we say, 'It never happened, go ask the tribal leaders in Africa who captured and sold you into slavery for your reparations!"
