Look, I cannot help you with being ignorant all the time to how the world works; you just stay in your little bubble and make absurd comparisons to support your idiocy. Stay happy with the lunatic fringe, and please keep displaying your inability to deal with social norms.
I know you believe this is the absolute truth. Not comedy, like your assertions.
It would be nice if, at the bare minimum, you googled something once in a while or based an assumption on facts, not Fox News. Unfortunately, you would rather believe that the world is coming to an end Tuesday because two guys on a soapbox at different ends of the park told you this. Five people saw them, so it must be true. BrilliantâŠ
I truly enjoy you calling me a racist without understanding what one actually is, but I have come to expect that from a bunch of you here. See, racism stems from hate, something I do exhibit. Unlike those here who have openly discussed my demise, something I have never done to any of you. Moreover, I have shown concern and compassion to those who are in need. Also destain for those who deserve it but never once wished them harm in any way. So please keep unvailing your ignorance to the world.
You are looking into your mirror. You canât comprehend that the world isnât some Socialist utopia. Not everything is pretty and it can get down right ugly.
I regularly attend gun shows as a volunteer for a gun rights group. As such I get to talk to lots of people of all races, socio-economic levels, etc. Blacks at these events are typically right of center and have left or were never on the democratic plantation - words they use. Many also express their pride in Southern culture and have no issues with the Confederate flag. These are issues they raise to me. Several have shown me those flags on their firearms and clothes. I am still a Yankee at heart, so that flag only has the meaning to me that I have previously stated, but I do understand the heritage and can understand their point of view. They also laugh at the notion that they are too stupid to get ID and have no issue with the voter ID law that is currently in our state.
So let me get this straight: you are basing your beliefs on people at a gun show. So you see this as a true representation of the overall demographic of the U.S.? Seriously, you do not see a problem with this. @Dave17 I am talking about the average person here. I am sure, just like with any issue, you can find people to support any belief you want, but itâs just like the guy on the soapbox saying the world is going to end. Guess what? Someday he will be right; the world will end. Everyone else knows it is not next Tuesday. They are living in the real world everyone else is. It is what the numbers support about this flag or others I have mentioned.
I agree and have never said anything like this. I have, however, thought it puts an unreasonable burden on people of lesser means to get a passport. If they wish this to be one of the requirements, it should be free or at least a hell of a lot cheaper. Not sure what mine cost when I bought it, but I bought three at the time, and I was like, âWow, thatâs a car payment.â
At the gun shows, I stop at all those booths and sign whatever petition they have. In saying this, I have been to a multitude of shows, and I have never seen a âsave the whalesâ booth. Just saying.
it is not a requirement, it is just a proof of US citizenship. Most people donât have passports, regardless of means, but they are not prohibitively expensive, currently $130, much less than getting carry perrmits/licenses in some states. I just renewed mine in the beginning of the year.
Obviously people at gun shows do not represent the general public as a whole, just like people in my neighborhood, people that vote or any other group cannot represent the general public as a whole. I used it as an example that even blacks can view the Confederate flag in a positive light. I assume you would not call them white supremacists. You certainly have issues with logic and reason.
However, people that attend gun shows are average people, and a large cross-section of the population. In Virginia many people own firearms, even those on the left, They even attend gun shows. They are the unfriendly ones who avoid eye contact and conversation.
As a representative of a gun rights organization, my experience at gun shows is vastly different than yours. My job is to interact with people and discuss things with them, mostly on what our organization is doing to protect our rights, but people ask questions not just about gun laws, and they typically offer personal information, too. So I learn a lot about people in general.
I am sure there are, but this is not the norm. When discussing things, I like to deal in the realm of social norms. You seem to confuse this, as I do not believe you. This is not the case. It is just that I do not cater to the fringe. You simply need to look up the numbers that support what I am speaking to.
This is the case everywhere. You are right here stating the perception of people, just like I was with the different flags.
You will find this to be true in more rural areas. They realize weapons are tools, not something in schools. Sadly, 50% of people now live in cities; they do not have the same experience with weapons as those in rural settings. This is why I am such a proponent of education. Why I bring new people all the time to the range. To expose them to something other than what the media wants everyone to believe. So they will give up their rights for processed safety.
Most donât have passports, just like carry permits. Sure, $130 isnât much for me or you, but for some it is a lot of money. Remember these people also depend on public transportation to get things done. Now in big cities this is readily available. This is not the case for everyone. Now, where I usually donât deal with the fringe. In this case, I believe everyone that is a citizen should have the ability to vote, just like owning weapons. Any obstacle in the way of this is a problem.
I got the little star on my license long before it was required just to make travel easier. There needs to be a way to make this something the DMV can do like that. Also, it should be a holiday to make it easier for everyone to vote.
