I just realized I added a red dot to the VPSK and I’m unsure now if it makes it “noncompliant” 
Maybe if you put a fin on the grip that’ll negate the tactical advantage the dot offers and satisfy your governor 
I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate for a moment.
A lawyer could conceivably use all the upgrades on our EDC’s as evidence against us in court because they give us an “unfair advantage” when we are forced to defend ourselves against Lil Johnny breaking into our house at 0300 trying to steal something “because he needs money to buy shoes so he can go to school”, and all he had to defend himself with was a .38 revolver he “bought” on the street.
OK, I am no longer playing Devil’s Advocate…
There is no such thing as “unfair advantage.” Everything we do in our lives, everything we learn, every experience we gain from simply getting groceries every week gives us additional “upgrades” in order to deal with everyday life. EVERYTHING!! Why not apply the same logic to our EDC’s?
The only thing we need to be careful with is over doing our upgrades, exceeding the “Tacti-Useful” limit and going headlong into “Tacti-cool.” There is a very fine line separating the two and I am guilty of crossing that line. It was fun for a minute, but reality crept back in and I took accessories off I didn’t need.
The best answer for having upgrades on your weapons, things that make you a better shooter, can best be summed up economically…Beware, object lesson in the form of a story follows…
One of the weapons I take to classes from time to time is a KelTec Sub2000, a 9mm PCC that accepts the same magazines as my EDC. I have a red dot on a QD mount I can snap to the top rail and consistently ping a six-inch gong at a hundred yards. The 16-inch barrel gives the 9mm round longer legs to get there. 150 yards is a stretch. One out of three if the wind is right. During one class, another student asked why I thought I needed a red dot on my little carbine. “It’s only a 9mm. You can’t reach out far enough for the red dot to give you any advantage.” Mind you, he was shooting an AR in .223 and had a very Tacti-cool scope setup which allowed him to consistently MISS the same six-inch gong. I told him I hated wasting ammo.
It’s all a matter of economics.
That ugly fin! 
However, we might catch a break as a byproduct of other states’ cases being heard by the SC.

well, a guy can dream. Reading about that on msm today, and noticed AG Tong from my former state of CT is ready to defend Americans from being able to have that weapon of war (yes, he called it that) on our streets as that’s what the citizens want (paraphrasing but close), and will use the citizens tax dollars to “keep us safe”.
Meanwhile, seeing as google doesn’t realize I moved, they still send me a news feed from CT, where I’ve noticed near daily shootings in the CT capitol city. I guess that should stop today, July 1, as CT followed CA’s lead in implementing the Glock ban

Do lawyers get overtime after an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week? 
Either way, I’m not seeing any furloughs.
I run multiple EDC’s and all are stock. My EDC is for basically inside of 21’. Outside of that unless your taking fire you really don’t Need anything else but training with that firearm and whatever load you carry for self protection. I say always practice with what you carry and not just range ammo. They shoot different and you should know the difference. By the way on all my EDC’s I run Hornady CD.
