To that same end, the Chinese have plenty of bodyās to catch bullets, and eventually you will run out of ammunition or overheat/ break your weapon.
Add to that the moral effect of simply killing A column of people walking up the road towards youā¦.

When World War One started, the Ottomans and the Germans encouraged the Senussi to invade British Egypt and supplied them with weapons. The Senussi got even more when they handed the Italians a decisive defeat and took as booty thousands of rifles and a good supply of machine guns and artillery. Pushing east across the border, they took many of the border and coastal towns in Egypt as well as many of the oases in the Western Desert, including Bahariya.Something needed to be done. Egypt was the vital link between the Mediterranean and the jewel in the British Empireās crown ā India. Egypt also contributed a huge amount of manpower, grain, and cotton to the war effort. British officials feared an uprising, and so they needed to secure the desert as quickly as possible.
Enter the Western Frontier Force, a hastily assembled group of men from all parts of the empire that included two of the warās many innovations. The first was the Light Car Patrol, made up of Model T Fords that had been stripped of all excess weight (even the hood and doors) so they could run over soft sand. Many came equipped with a machine gun. Heavier and slower were the armored cars, built on the large Rolls Royce chassis and sporting a turret and machine gun.
The Senussi had nothing that could stand against such superior firepower and maneuverability except their captured artillery, which was generally too slow in traversing and aiming to be much good.

Shamrock has made some interesting points about how a conflict might take place. But think about it. Seriously. How many people do you know who would actually take part in an insurgency? Especially during football season? Iām being a bit facetious but really. The people who are spouting this civil war and revolution stuff are doing it for diversion. Remember, the billionaires control the country. Do you really think they want a war? The percentage of people who would actually fight is less than one percent. We arenāt talking about self-defense. This is about war. All this talk is hype to the extreme. If anything this community needs to be more open minded and accept that there are segments of society that we are just going to have to deal with in a civilized manner.

To that end, non combatants in Ukraine wear certain HiVis colors to announce themselves as non combatants as they go about their lives.
Doesnāt necessarily stop them from getting killed, but definitely increases their chances of survival!
My concern here would be that there is no such rules of engagement, much like whatās happening in the Israel/ham ass conflict.
The IDF are uniformed soldiers
Ham Ass are using civilians as meat shields and civilians are supporting them.
What happens here when extremist groups like BLM or ANTIFA organize into cells and start wiping out civilian neighborhoods?
Our armed forces under order of whatever government steps in, maybe the UN āpeacekeepersā then thereās a 3 (or more) way crossfireā¦.
I couldnāt physically do anything beyond catch a bullet in a war, but thereās exactly zero chance I will surrender my weapons in exchange for a hunter orange vest!

So far it is all talk, but I donāt think it would be like anything from the past. The billionaires do control the country and also have the political clout. That could be a bad position for everyone including themselves. As far as self-defense goes, that could be what escalates it. It is easy for armed groups to walk in and take a neighborhood or a grocery store or kill for the sake of killing, but there are a lot of people out there that would fight back for their life and the food, fuel, money, that will sustain it. Not to mention how politicized the world is these days. I agree that the talk is extreme but what do you do when that extreme gets to your front door. Talk them out of it? It hasnāt worked very well in the past and I do not see it working very well in the future especially in this political climate. An insurgency may be what starts it but I agree with Shamrock as to how it will eventually go. The end will be determined by one or several of the groups left.

I readily admit that anything can happen in the present state of this country and if any militant or criminal group came to my door intent on robbing and killing me and my family, I would use all of my training and many hours of practice to put the threat down with extreme prejudice. I just donāt think thatās gonna happen. Why rob me and my family when you can walk into any Target (or any retail outlet) and take whatever you want without paying? The country is rife with sanctuary cities ready to supply you with all your needs, including debit cards. While I can see that a recurrence of self-defense events could escalate into something bigger than the average citizen could handle, it seems unlikely that even the most radical and terror-ridden groups like ANTIFA would poke the bear knowing that they could get their a__es bit - hard. The majority in this community are ready for self-defense. But a very small minority are ready for an all-out war. Iām not strapping up my Glock 31 just because the Boogaloo Boys request my help to take down the local Federal court house. Just sayinā¦

The topic is Civil War. Do you think no one does anything until a war is declared? Control is one of the first things a group needs. Be that republicans, democrats, ANTIFA, criminal gangs, or anyone else. Whether that starts with group alignment, cities, states, or a country. Elections themselves are about control and millions run to them every 2 or 4 years. We hope that they are good to their word but how many really are? The sanctuary cities are ready to supply the illegals that come into the country. People that are breaking the law by being here. For what reason? Putting someone down because they are trying to take something from you could be considered a federal crime if it was simply property. Some states with a duty to retreat law it could be a federal crime. In the end, everyone will either defend themselves against a group that doesnāt align with their beliefs or they will resign themselves to the beliefs of the winner.

Eventually Wally World, Le Targee, and your local grocery store will be empty and at a surprising rate. Once those are emptied out, they will come looking for the weakest having the most and work their way up the ladder until your wrung is found.

I went to my semi-local grocery store about 5 days after the Covid stuff started. No meat or canned veggies. Only a little bit of packaged veggies, and almost no fresh produce. Alot of the frozen stuff was gone, no TP or paper products. Then I went to Walmart, 30 miles from my house, and found a little more. Then I had to go to another grocery store 50 miles away to finish getting what I would need for the next two weeks. Yep, the stores empty out real quick, whether bought or stolen.

If you have a supply of food, fuel, generators, portable shelters (tents), guns & ammo ETC. Shut up, keep quiet about it. The government and military will come and kill you and your family if need be. You can defend against the hungry mobs. The American government, any government and military will get your supplies. Canadian government and military, Russian, Chinese, Mexican, Argentinian, any government and military would come and kill you for your supplies. AGAIN, shut up, keep quiet and hide your supplies. Human governments and militaries for thousands of years have done it and today will do it. CHRIS
