CCW holsters for women

Well, I’m NOT a woman, but just completed a nice shoulder holster for the wife of a good friend. She loves it. Her handgun is not especially a “nice” one - a really old, cheap .38 Special Arminus snubbie, but it is sturdy and shoots well for her. I already made her a hip holster that she wears on a belt under a shirt or sweater, but she wanted the shoulder holster for cooler weather. She has a semi-auto in .380 and I made her a holster for that, too.

I got a CanCan Concealment belly band, which came this week. I have to return it for a smaller size, since it wouldnt go tight enough to offer the support I need but it does seem like it will be a good option. In the meantime I’ve made do with a sticky holster but it’s not my favorite. Im looking forward to something that feels more secure and can be worn with more versatile outfits. Thanks all for all the help! Each response had given me something to think about.

I’ve had a number of requests for CCW shoulder-holsters for women! I’ve made them with hard leather and soft harnesses and soft leather and soft harnesses. I’ve made them for use with pants and belts and without. All of these ladies have been happy with them. The design is so simple, that, with the soft leather, virtually ANYONE could cut them out with heavy scissors, punch the holes with a standard “rotary punch,” and stitch them up with an upholstery needle and very heavy thread like you can buy at “Hobby Lobby.”
