Carry in WA as non-resident?

WA state does not recognize AZ CCWs. It looks like a WA non-resident CCW requires an in-person appointment in WA. Is there another state’s non-resident CCW I can get online that will be honored in WA (specifically eastern WA)?

looks like you need a Utah Non-Res permit

Well, you can get a Utah Non-Res in other states, but not online. You must attend a Utah Non-Res license class in person, and do the paperwork online. The Utah CWCW site lists out-of-state instructors, and I am quite sure you can find several in Arizona.

Hello, AZ resident here too. I typed in Washington State recognizes what other states CCW. I found I think 10 states they recognize. And on the list they accepted they didn’t in some cases recognize standard CCW’s unless they were enhanced or some such thing. I did a search awhile back on several states and found several that accepted CCW’s if you were a resident of the state, but didn’t honor if you were not a resident of the issuing state. All I’m saying is go to the source and make very sure you’re not wasting time. They had a very interesting list of states and why they didn’t recognize their permits. Scary stuff. Good luck.

I did it with my CA resident class. Best value for money.

I live in California, and have a Utah non-resident ccw license.

I carry in Washington often. The sensitive areas are different up there. Hope to never have to explain reciprocity to a Washington LEO!

What do you think about the Utah license for your WA needs?
