Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this firearm yet? I’m not looking to replace my hellcat by any means but it does look interesting. Depending on what I find out I might do a little horse trading for one just to play with it and see if it really is all they say.

I don’t have any experience with that particular model, but I do have a Canik SFX Rival, it feels really good in the hand and has an incredible trigger.

This is a really nice review that sootch00 gives on YouTube in case you are interested. Looks like a good shooter and a sharp looking firearm. I definitely like it.

Yeah I’ve seen that review scooch did. Looks like a real solid contender in the micro nine arena. Probably has the potential to replace my sig Sauer 938 in my rotation with my hellcats and my Kimber 45.

I recently had an opportunity to fire one. Felt great in the hands, better than my fathers 43X with less recoil in a better trigger for sure. I had two fte after 15 rounds, but broke the weapon down and oiled it up and didn’t have any more issues with 100 more rounds. I don’t know if it was just needing to be broken in, or lubed or both. Left me wanting to know why before investing in getting one.

In my opinion, every new pistol should be first broken down, cleaned, lubed and dry fired before shooting.
I’m not sure if new mass production firearms are test shot anymore before shipping out.

YES THEY DO! Also, failure to return to battery. Maybe mine is a dud and they’re really a great gun. I’ve demanded a replacement. New gun, new serial No. , whole nine yards. Maybe the new one won’t have those problems.
I have no issues with my TP 9 Elite SC. It has been my understanding the Caniks are getting much better.

I know this is a really old thread, but I thought I’d respond. I’ve owned two Mc9 pistols. One is my current EDC. They have been flawless with anything i fed them.There were definitely some issues when they first were released, but those issues have been corrected. Just make sure your getting a newly produced model and not new “old” stock. Also, this pistol, due to it’s size and design doesn’t like a weak grip at all. Hold it proper, and you will get a smooth, and accurate experience. Fail on your grip and the gun will warn you with failure to return to battery. This gun requires a strong hold. The MC9L and LS seem to be less affected due to the larger grip which makes it easier for the shooter to grip the weapon. Any easy fix for this is to run the 15 round mags on the Mc9, as it provides an easy to hold grip and that aids the reliability of the pistol. I firmly believe this is contributing factor, as well as using 124 grain. (recommended by Canik) The ergonomics and capacity of this pistol are fantastic.
