I’ve been wanting to figure out how to change my username. Can I get help?

Changing Your Username and Adding a Profile Picture

When you first log into the USCCA Community, the system will automatically assign you a username using your first name and a number if there are multiple people with your first name in the Community. For example if there are already 24 Dawn’s in the Community when I log in the first time, I would then be assigned Dawn25. You CAN change that within the first 30 days. User Name Change

Several employees at USCCA assured me that the community profile is a seperate profile from USCCA and as such, the Community User Name could be changed from the USCCA Member User Name, however, I do not find that to be the case. I just need to know if the current information I have is true or not. I can live with either answer, but the issue for me is not the actual topic itself, which does have some importance to me, but rather the more important matter is the knowledge of how the site works …

Have the current policies been evaluated under the CA privacy laws that went into effect last year?
My understanding, from my own corporate training, is that anything that can be tied to PII must be removed at the individual’s request.
What do the legal beagles say?

@Dawn, there are about 1300 people in the world with my surname. I’d like to change my username now that I know that. I didn’t realize that until recent. Can y’all make an exception? I was one of the first 50 members.

Take my advice and call them, I tried and went through hell.
I was bounced like a ping pong ball from one person to another for 2 weeks.

I have been a member well past 30 days and have been reading various topics on here all along. I just began posting or replying rather, yesterday, and I can’t find where to update my profile. I don’t want to post my life story, but would like to add my location.
I like to know what part of the country people are in that I talk to. Some websites post a location right under usernames in each post. Is it possible to do that here?

To add a bio to your profile, please click your profile picture (or initial if you haven’t added a profile picture) in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
