Taxing a right, clearly unconstitutional?
What about if we impose a tax on freedom of speech to cover all the destructive “protests” by antifa and others? After all, if they think their first amendment right to protest is so important, they should bear the associated costs, right?
Next we can create a warrant tax to make property owners pay every time the police want to search their homes.
And then a military tax for all those people who aren’t housing Soldiers.
Don’t forget reinstatement of poll taxes.
It would make a lot more sense to tax the criminals.
Kinda funny that liberals seem to understand taxing things make people do it less, except when it comes to income and wealth taxes.
