There are no legal precedents (that I am aware of) for preemptive pardons. This will be settled in the Supreme Court. The court of public opinion will continue under the assumption they are all as guilty as h3ll for all the slimy shite they performed. IMHO.

Not having read the requirements of “Pardons” or “Commutations”, I offer the following.
While Presidents are allowed a large amount of latitude in the issuance of Both, I believe Pardons are " for individuals. granting complete forgiveness for crimes for which they are arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced, treating such actions as if the crimes had never been committed and restoring all rights and privileges that might have been effected as a result of the revocation of such rights.
A Commutation Of Sentence, on the other hand, is a reduction of the judicial sentence to a lesser sentence while not necessarily restoring any rights or privileges revoked as a result of conviction. Prison sentences will still be served but for the reduced time specified by the Commutation.
Under those definitions, particularly regarding Pardons, I believe there is NO SUCH THING as a “Preemptive Pardon” since NO ONE has, to my knowledge, been charged, tried, convicted or sentenced for any crime and, therefore, are INELIGIBLE FOR A PARDON OF ANY KIND, NORMAL OR "PREEMPTIVE.
Now, I’m not a lawyer but I don’t believe it’s possible to “Pardon” someone who has not been proven to have committed a crime-YET!!
I’d be curious to hear how SCOTUS would rule on this.

The ONLY valid reason is if you are arrested by an illegitimate regime that uses the enforcement arm of their office to persecute opposition just to stifle dissent.

That’s my problem. Maybe just Maybe they have been accused, tried, convicted and sentenced. Believe me, there is A Lot of stuff going on behind the doors of Washington DC that they simply don’t tell anyone about. I have no evidence of such but my experience dealing with the Government tells me, There may just be something up here.

Oh, how naive… Maybe because Trump and Kash Patel have an “enemies” list with their names on it? It doesn’t matter if you’re guilty, the gov’t can destroy your life and bankrupt you, your family, your friends through accusations and criminal proceeding even if you’re innocent. Conviction is not the goal, it’s endless harrasment until you capitulate. And then anyone else who dares to speak out will think twice before doing so. It’s the beginnings of facism.

People should recognize this as the collapse of the criminal justice system. When the President issues pardons, it is a recognition that the criminal justice system has been politicized and will/has prosecuted people based on their political tribe and not on their actions.
“Attack a policeman? No problem so long as you are a member of my tribe. You’ll get a pardon.”
