I say Glock 19 it holds 16 rounds and it just works and it’s comfortable in my hand. And as far as compact goes I will say the Springfield hellcat it holds 14 rounds and is very easy to conceal

Use to carry the Taurus PT709 and liked a lot about it, but recently went to the S&W M&P shield 4" and while it’s a little bigger and heavier, it holds more rounds and it shoots a lot nicer imo. Of course more rounds = more weight.
