Though, do keep in mind, if a background check for ammo passes, components will probably either wind up in the same bill or get added later to avoid the “ghost ammo loophole” or whatever name they come up with to call it
Kind of like the battle going with personally manufactured firearms as a way to avoid background checks

I used to be able to buy ammo from Midway and other online retailers. Not anymore. Ammo is treated like firearms, could only buy from LGS.
How did we get there?

I did hoard just before the law came into effect. I only buy a few boxes here and there, particularly to keep SD rounds fresh, but not in great need.

I love the way that these GUN CONTROL PEOPLE/GROUPS keep claiming the GUN VIOLENCE IS A BIG ISSUE. When GUN VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ISSUE. THE REAL ISSUE IS HUMAN VIOLENCE. Because it is the human that is doing the REAL VIOLENCE here. and not the firearm. FIREARM is just a tool that is used to do a job. just like a hammer, screwdriver, ax, or bat is just a tool used to do a job. But these idiots just don’t seem to understand this simple fact.
