That’s sounds very good for that state and awesome news. Hopefully that can pass. I will stay in VA for now though. Carry on brother.
Tennessee did the same earlier this year! Arkansas is talking.
Let’s hope this catches on.
And before anyone states that it is purely symbolic - we know that. It does, however, make a strong statement.
Similar to what is in Alabama. Out of 67 Counties, 0 Counties are 2A Sanctuaries. Instead, we have over 1 million conceal carry permits issued. Sends a strong message.
Oklahoma earlier this year on Red Flags - Oklahoma Governor Signs Bill Banning Red Flag Laws – Bearing Arms
Tennessee on 2A Sanctuary - Tennessee becomes 2nd Amendment sanctuary state - Conservative Cardinal
Thats the way we roll in Oklahoma
Excellent only 30 miles from Oklahoma . Have heard talk of that in Kansas, but just talk for now
Back in OK this week. Folks are still friendly here. Barely recognize Tulsa. Open fields I used to play in as a kid are developed now. A casino on the Arkansas River!
Thought about it, considered it… even considered South Dakota (they do not tax retirement )… and have thought about Alaska, at least if I was younger… always wanted to go… and fresh salmon and cod and haddock and halibut …
But, nope… at this time, it is still something to look into… but not yet.
In Virginia, my county… most every county… declared themselves Second Amendment Sanctuaries.
Unfortunately that happens.
The last time I saw where I grew up… the hay field was a shopping center, the corn fields were housing developments, and a cow pasture was a town house development… and I had hunted several of those … traffic…
what once took 15 minutes took 45 minutes…
I avoid going back… but … the wife had to see the new grandbaby… but went the back way and still almost did not recognize it.
@Kevin29. Kinda bittersweet. One of my Dads teenage friends called me tonight asking directions to his funeral. Got to hear a few good stories about Dad as a teenager.
Still in my prayers brother @Jeff-A1 and keep the faith. Remember you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Thank you brother.
Maybe, Costa Rica?
??? @Harry13
Welcome to the family @Harry13 and you are blessed to be here.
Just to add some info, Pennsylvania in 2017 had 1, 275,000 permits issued. I remember reading that almost every county had noticeable increases in 2018 and 2019 with women getting their first permit being a large portion of the increases. This is fantastic in my opinion!
With our current governor, I seriously doubt that we see any lightening of the current restrictions or changes in the laws in favor of the 2nd amendment.
Im glad to hear the Oklahoma is changing for the better and sure wish we could get a NATIONAL right to carry concealed law passed.
We do have a ‘National Right’.
The Constitution. Regardless of some evidence some states restricted concealed carry, it was not a national prohibition… there was open carry in most every state and territory, with few exceptions… in towns and cities.
The Constitution guarantees our rights, it does not grant them… and the Second Amendment does state;
The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms, SHALL NOT be Infringed.
KEEP : Have, Own, Possess
BEAR : Carry, (in my opinion that means carry open and concealed)
We just need to demand our elected representatives at all levels actually adhere to the Constitution.
States in fly over country are awesome for this sort of stuff. And whats good is since if you move there you have to be ready for harsh weather liberals wouldnt want to move there after they screw up their home states.
I saw a US map of all the states in James Wesley Rawles new book, there were only 2 states that had 100% red counties in them.
Oklahoma and West Virginia.
There was one state that was entirely blue, Hawaii.
