I did Cowboy Action Shooting 3 gun for awhile just for fun. It was a lot of fun. I shoot IDPA for keeping my hand in but haven’t shot this year.

Not now but in the 80s and 90s shot a lot of 3 gun. Back then it was single stack 45 1911’s, Remington 1100 12 ga shotgun and M1 carbine for the rifle. We’d also shoot the same set of stages using your wheel gun in lieu of auto.

In open I’m using a 10mm 1911, a hand built 20" barreled AR-15 with a Sig lpvo and a Mossberg 590. In heavy metal the only difference is a .308 rifle.

Back in the day I used to shoot a rifle (M16) a pistole (M9) and a machine gun (M60 or 240B) all in the same day, does that count as 3 gun? :laughing:
On odd days, throw in the M2 .50cal. a M203, an M14,a 1911 or hand grenades and I felt like I died and went to ARMY heaven. :innocent:
