Anybody Give or Receive SD related gifts this year?

My son received a Strikeman training system, a recoil guide rod and springs system, and a Parker Mountain compensator for his PDP from me (and my wife).

He (and his wife) gifted a Muddy River holster for me. :+1:

How about any of you?

None this year, possibly due to the closure of the nearest gun range where my kids used to get gift cards for me.

I’ve got pair of nice, warm gloves, merino wool base layer, Eddie Bauer polar and bottle of Bourbon.
I’m happy, because these are what I really needed.

I can still consider those as a SD gifts… I wear them and will be situationally aware. Bourbon stays at home.

Kids always give me a “just for Dad stocking” with cute stuff. Trump clock, Fake News button ….. The bottom of this years had multiple boxes of 9mm, 5.56, 7.62, 22lr, 12 ga 00, 20 ga 7 1/2 and some magazines. Santa was good.

I sure hope that lock is strong, I’d hate to be using that, then lose my fingers.

Those electronic lighters are great for lighting candles. We burn candles at dinnertime almost every night. It takes a couple of seconds to light a candle. It is not much use for anything else as the electric arc is too narrow and protected by the surrounding metal. The one we have is a long wand and the last half can be bent/curved if needed to avoid fingers directly above fire, such as in a tall votive.

I woke Christmas morning to a package from Santa. It was a 10/22 with a threaded barrel for use with my suppressor. So I can take care of these damn groundhogs. Just what I asked the fat guy for. Awe hell who am I kidding I got it for myself, and I was the fat guy. Should have seen the wife’s face when I opened a gift from Santa in front of the grandkids and family. Classic

110 rounds how many groundhogs do you think I have or do you think I’m that bad of a shot. My arms would tire out fast holding a rifle and that mag.

I don’t think I can use the wrapped gift from Santa again  I guess I’ll have to put together the shooting arm for my wheelchair. My physical therapist got me one last summer. But, it is heavy platform that I have to mount in my seat. Which really isn’t that bad but, it has a little bar that comes up about 3 inches betweenyour legs and the whole arm mounts to it.

Flashlights always seem to be given and received at Christmas.

We got my son a blood pressure cuff and a pulse oximeter (he is going into nursing). My son also got a cold steel special forces shovel to keep in his car while he’s away at college

I asked for and got a knife sharpening system. Kitchen knives need worked over. I also got a folding saw. The back yard needs some work, but it will go in my emergency kit in my vehicle when not in use.

I gifted myself a .22LR conversion kit for the AR. my son and I will put it through its paces next week.

Not all self defense but a lot of preparedness type stuff.
