Yep, as much as I love to support Budgunshop which in turn supports hickock45, FFL fees are just outrageous.
In NV, if the shop is not licensed to do business in the State(Scheels, Cabela’s, Sportsmans are) basically have a ‘presence’ there then the State collects tax when you pick up the receiver that you have it transferred to.
So a lower, bought out of State, online, the transfer fee is $30, then the tax collected from the online shop, THEN that tax is collected AGAIN when you pick it up.
$47 for a $40 receiver.
I have contacted 2 governors and every office under them to get this law off the books, tried voting these clowns out and nothing but crickets.
They will not even ship it to Washington! The state, not DC!

I have looked there. Houses are too expensive. I used to live there too, and I love the area. I used to go to the Carson River and pan for gold unsuccessfully, but it was always fun to be in the water on a hot day. Or take off to go up to Tahoe and chill at the lake. It would be nice! I am sure I could find a job too!
