Has anyone had experience with their “Sniper Subsonic” - “Colibri” - or “Super Colibri” .22 cartridges? These use only the priming mixture to power the 60- and 20-grain bullets they’re loaded with - they were designed for indoor target practice, and for killing pests without disturbing neighbors. Their low power can’t cycle semi-auto actions - the “SS” is a 60-grainer loaded into a SHORT case - the resulting length equals a .22 LR.
I have had nothing but problems with it. Miss fire and non cycling.
@Todd30 … Happy Birthday!!

I’ve tried their ammo on two different calibers and won’t buy it again. First was .22LR, which basically wouldn’t cycle in my rifle at all. The few shots that did get down the barrel were filthy. I don’t remember which version of their ammo it was, but it was no good. This is an old, trusted rifle that cycles most all ammo put through it.
Not terribly long ago, I bought a box of their .380 at the local range for plinking with my M&P shield. This gun has only ever had one ammo not feed correctly in the past, and that was a Fiochi JHP, and when I measured the cartridges, they were not quite in SAMMI spec. First round of Aguila I tried to chamber hung up going into battery. This was regular FMJ ball, and the gun has never done this after thousands of rounds. I ejected the bad round, and the rest of the box cycled fine, but, still, it made me wonder.
I stay away from that brand.
Had to buy a box of 5.56 Aquila shooting indoors years back. 15 duds out of 50 rounds. I contacted them, they said they had a bad batch but offered no restitution. I have their normal.22lr and it’s fine in my bolt guns.
