In an old interview by Mike Wallace on 60 minutes, actor Morgan Freeman was asked how can we stop racism? (I’m paraphrasing as I don’t know the exact phrase that was used.) His answer was to STOP talking about it. But liberals won’t. Their political agenda is more important. It’s like asking AOC to stop looking like a jack-ass. It’ll never happen.

I agree with Morgan Freeman the only way that racism stops is to stop talking about it every day. I see people for who they are not what color they are. Life is short There are alot of Great people out there.

I would imagine just about everybody had brown skin in the summertime 
My skin unfortunately goes from pasty white to red then peels off and goes back to white again if I let it get too much sun.

Because that way you look at it and say “What was there?” Nothing to see here folks, move along.
You takeaway our history, you take away our LESSONS on what we went through as a country, a world and you become pliable to the NEW MASTERS. (30) years ago some guy comes up on a stage and say’s “WE want the population to wear Uniforms, Not have a car, NO GUNS, Bicycle to work (and YOU WILL WORK!) I abhor the whole artificial concept of race. According to anthropologists, we all originated from the same groups of modern humans about 200,000 years ago in Africa. Superficial differences are just nature’s way of helping people adapt to their current environment. We should be more like dogs. They don’t seem to notice each other’s superficial differences, and certainly don’t care.
I’m sick of so many people trying to divide humanity, and especially, Americans.

Racism is a farce. The HUMAN RACE encompasses all skin colors. People need to stop using the term “racism” because at it’s core, is a failed construct.
Can there be ethnic prejudice? Sure. But that is also a farce. To despise someone because the amount of melanin in their skin is moronic.
People ought not to mate with people who believe racism is real. God made us all, male and female (a particular color model is not specified).

Same, Same, here Brother, I’m Norwegian . So naturally I worked in sand boxes around the world and THEN I moved to the Southwest to settle down!

I don’t know that race (being commonly defined by skin color these days) is super relevant or something to be proud or not proud of. There are all sorts of people with identical skin tones that have absolutely nothing in common experientially, culturally or historically, etc. Regardless of our skin color we are all part of the same human race.
Though I do think recognizing and having some connection and pride in our personal cultural heritage is important. It’s hard to know if you are going in the right direction if you don’t remember where you came from.

Same here. Northern European stock working mostly in the Mojave Desert and living in sunny AZ. Definitely not playing into my genetic strength of producing extra vitamin D on perpetually cloudy days:)

" We should all be proud of our race (almost sounds ‘Racist’ to me now, it wasn’t meant to but…)
therefor, I wish to say instead: “We should all be PROUD of Ourselves
and where we came from”. That sounds a little better (to me)
and even PROUD could be adjusted to having a sense of worth!
Because as you all know ‘Pride goeth before the fall!’ and I don’t wish to fall anymore.

I understand Brother Don’s point, totally, about pride in one’s self and heritage. I definitely carry a lot of pride in what my own ancestors did and have contributed to this country (and what they went through to get here). I think that Bro Shamrock reflects my thoughts on it, though, that the connection and pride probably has more to do with culture than skin tone and hair type. Recognizing that “race” does exist in people’s minds and its close association with different cultures, I’m personally very appreciative of everything the different races/cultures have brought to this country. Mashing it all together is what makes us truly American.
